Overview

AI-generated overview

Gives an assistant live crypto market signals (price, sentiment, risk, regime, grid parameters) and portfolio telemetry for eight major assets.

What you can do
  • Get price, 24h/7d change and a simple bull/bear signal for a major crypto asset
  • Score sentiment of text or an asset, and check volatility/drawdown risk versus a 30-day baseline
  • Classify market regime (chop, trend up, trend down, high volatility) with a grid-suitability verdict, and get recommended grid-trading parameters
  • Read telemetry for an AI-managed crypto portfolio: allocation, reconciled P&L, signal votes and human-approval trail
  • Summarize a URL or text block, and fact-check a claim with a verdict, confidence score and short reasoning
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs quick crypto market context or trading-signal inputs for the eight supported majors, or wants hosted summarization and fact-checking without running its own LLM call or web fetch.
Requirements
Runs as a local npm package via npx (Node.js) or as a hosted streamable-HTTP endpoint. The six free-tier tools need a RapidAPI key in the RAPIDAPI_KEY environment variable; the six paid tools need no key but require an x402-capable client with a funded USDC wallet on Base.
Before you install
Six tools charge per call in USDC on Base (from $0.005 to $0.05), so an agent with a funded wallet can spend money automatically; unpaid calls return HTTP 402. The free-tier tools require the RAPIDAPI_KEY secret. Requests go to a third-party API, and text or URLs submitted to summarize and factcheck are sent to that service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Stelar Signals in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.StelarDigital%2Fstelar-signals-mcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Stelar Signals MCP

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that gives any MCP-compatible agent (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex …) live crypto market signals and portfolio telemetry.

Six of its tools are pay-per-call over x402 — no signup, no account, and no API key. Your agent pays cents in USDC on Base from its own wallet and gets the data back in the same request.

Install

bash
claude mcp add stelar -- npx -y stelar-signals-mcp

Or in any MCP client config:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "stelar": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "stelar-signals-mcp"] }  }}

The server starts and lists every tool with no environment variables set.

Paid tools — x402, USDC on Base, no key required

ToolPriceWhat you get
price$0.005Current price, 24h and 7d change, bull/bear/neutral signal
sentiment$0.005Sentiment score (-1 to +1) and label, for text or an asset
telemetry$0.005Live telemetry of an AI-managed crypto portfolio — allocation, reconciled P&L, signal votes, human-approval trail
risk$0.02Volatility / drawdown risk regime — ATR% vs its 30-day p80 baseline, labeled low/med/high
regime$0.03Market regime (chop / uptrend / downtrend / high-volatility) plus a grid-trading suitability verdict
gridparams$0.05Grid count, spacing %, price band and per-grid allocation from live 24h market structure

These call https://api.stelardigital.com, which answers HTTP 402 with a payment challenge. Any x402-capable client settles it and retries automatically. Assets covered: SOL, BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, LTC, ADA, XLM.

These are live production endpoints backed by real market data — not demo stubs.

Free-tier tools — these DO need a RapidAPI key

crypto_regime, crypto_sentiment, pricecheck, token_risk, summarize, factcheck are served through RapidAPI. Set RAPIDAPI_KEY to use them:

bash
claude mcp add stelar -e RAPIDAPI_KEY=your-key -- npx -y stelar-signals-mcp

Without the key these six return a clear error; the six paid x402 tools above keep working, because they do not use RapidAPI at all.

Discovery

GET https://api.stelardigital.com/catalog endpoints, prices, parametersGET https://api.stelardigital.com/.well-known/x402 x402 discovery manifestGET https://api.stelardigital.com/openapi.json OpenAPI 3.1 spec

A hosted streamable-HTTP MCP endpoint is also live at https://api.stelardigital.com/mcp.

Honest limits

  • Signals cover the eight majors listed above, not arbitrary tokens.
  • Paid tools need a funded wallet; without one they return HTTP 402 rather than data.
  • Every response carries generated_at; nothing is cached longer than a minute.

crypto_regime

Crypto market regime classifier

Market regime (chop / trend_up / trend_down / high_vol) for a major crypto pair, computed from live 24h market structure by a production-grade classifier. Returns a grid_suitability verdict (good/poor/etc) telling an agent whether current conditions favor range-bound (grid) strategies or trend-following ones. Use this before deciding to deploy a grid bot, mean-reversion strategy, or trend-follow strategy on SOL, XLM, BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, LTC, or ADA.

Parametersassetrequired

crypto_sentiment

Crypto / text sentiment scorer

Sentiment score (-1 to +1) with a bullish/neutral/bearish label, for either raw text or a crypto asset's recent price action, via an LLM. Give it EXACTLY ONE of `text` (free-form text to score) or `asset` (one of SOL, XLM, BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, LTC, ADA). Useful for agents building trading signals, news pipelines, or social-listening tools without running their own LLM sentiment call.

Parameterstextasset

summarize

URL / text summarizer

Tight 3-5 sentence summary of a URL or a raw text block, via an LLM. Give it EXACTLY ONE of `url` (a page to fetch and summarize) or `text` (raw text to summarize directly). For agents/pipelines that need a fast, information-dense digest without running their own LLM call or web fetch.

Parametersurltext

factcheck

Fact-check a claim

Fact-check verdict (true / false / uncertain) with a confidence score (0-1) and a 1-2 sentence reasoning for any factual claim, via an LLM. Useful for content moderation, chatbot/agent guardrails, and misinformation screening. Returns 'uncertain' for opinions or claims requiring live/real-time data.

Parametersclaimrequired

pricecheck

Crypto price + change snapshot

Current price, 24h and 7d percent change, and a simple bullish/bearish/neutral signal for a major crypto asset. Low-latency market-data lookup for dashboards, bots, and alerts — one of SOL, XLM, BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, LTC, ADA.

Parametersassetrequired

token_risk

Crypto volatility / drawdown risk regime

Volatility / drawdown risk regime (low / med / high) for a major crypto asset, extending the same classifier behind crypto_regime. Tells an agent whether current volatility is elevated vs its 30-day baseline — useful for position sizing and stop-placement logic. One of SOL, XLM, BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, LTC, ADA.

Parametersassetrequired

telemetry

Crypto portfolio telemetry (paid: $0.005/call via x402)

PAID PER CALL ($0.005 USDC on Base via x402 — no signup, no API key). Telemetry for an AI-managed long-horizon crypto portfolio: allocation, reconciled profit-and-loss, signal votes, and the human-approval trail for every trade. Unpaid calls return the exact x402 payment terms.

Takes no parameters.

regime

Market-regime classification (paid: $0.03/call via x402)

PAID PER CALL ($0.03 USDC on Base via x402). Market regime (chop / trend_up / trend_down / high_vol) plus a grid-suitability verdict, computed from live 24h market structure. Unpaid calls return the exact x402 payment terms.

Parametersassetrequired

gridparams

Grid-trading parameter recommendation (paid: $0.05/call via x402)

PAID PER CALL ($0.05 USDC on Base via x402). Recommended grid-trading parameters (range, spacing, order size) for a pair and capital amount, derived from live 24h market structure. Unpaid calls return the exact x402 payment terms.

Parametersassetrequiredcapital

sentiment

Crypto/text sentiment score (paid: $0.005/call via x402)

PAID PER CALL ($0.005 USDC on Base via x402). Sentiment score (-1..+1) with label for EXACTLY ONE of `text` or `asset`. Unpaid calls return the exact x402 payment terms.

Parameterstextasset

risk

Volatility/drawdown risk regime (paid: $0.02/call via x402)

PAID PER CALL ($0.02 USDC on Base via x402). Volatility / drawdown risk regime (low / med / high) vs the 30-day baseline for a major crypto asset. Unpaid calls return the exact x402 payment terms.

Parametersassetrequired

price

Crypto price + change snapshot (paid: $0.005/call via x402)

PAID PER CALL ($0.005 USDC on Base via x402). Current price, 24h/7d change, and a simple signal for a major crypto asset. Unpaid calls return the exact x402 payment terms.
