When to use it

Requirements
Runs locally as a Python package via uvx or as a Docker image, or through a hosted Smithery endpoint that needs OAuth or a Smithery key. Each channel needs its own credential, such as WEWORK_BOT_KEY, DINGTALK_BOT_KEY, FEISHU_BOT_KEY, LARK_BOT_KEY, TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN, PUSH_PLUS_TOKEN or WEWORK_APP_SECRET, plus optional chat, recipient and base URL settings. Outbound network access to the provider APIs is required.
Before you install
The server holds bot tokens and app secrets that can post into your groups and accounts; anyone with access to the assistant or its config can send messages as those bots. Messages, files and audio links are sent to third-party services (WeCom, DingTalk, Telegram, Feishu/Lark, Bark, Ntfy, PushPlus, Home Assistant), so avoid pushing sensitive content. Base URL overrides can redirect traffic to another host. Sending is an outward action that cannot be undone.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Notify MCP Server in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
