Overview

AI-generated overview

Alice's remote MCP server lets an AI assistant search, browse and retrieve transcripts from your Alice audio recordings and answer questions from them.

What you can do
Search recordings, transcripts and metadata with natural-language queries, including legacy search tools for older clients. List and browse recordings with filters, and fetch details for a specific recording ID. Retrieve full transcripts or segments for a recording. Get collection-level recording and transcript statistics. Fetch JSON schemas describing the tool inputs and outputs.
When to use it
Useful when you keep interviews, meetings, sales calls or podcasts in Alice and want an assistant to find quotes, summarize themes, or draft content from those conversations without manual copying.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at aliceapp.ai added as a custom connector in an MCP-compatible client. An Alice account and a connection URL generated in the Alice dashboard; the URL embeds your Alice API key in its path. OAuth is declared as required.
Before you install
The generated connection URL contains your unique Alice API key in the path, so treat it as a secret and avoid sharing or pasting it where others can see it. The README suggests setting permissions to Always Allow, which lets the assistant query your recordings without confirmation. Your recordings and transcripts are sent to the connected AI client and processed by Alice's service.

README

Alice MCP Server

Connect your Alice recordings and transcripts to the AI tools you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, and any other MCP-compatible client.

The Alice MCP Server turns your secure voice archive into a queryable knowledge base. Search across hundreds of hours of recordings, retrieve full transcripts, surface insights, and automate workflows — all with natural language.

What You Can Do

  • Search recordings — find any transcript, quote, or moment using natural-language queries
  • Retrieve transcripts — pull full transcripts or specific segments by recording ID
  • List and browse recordings — filter by date, title, language, speaker, or metadata
  • Ask questions — get precise answers sourced directly from your real conversations
  • Build workflows — automate drafting, summarizing, tagging, CRM notes, and enrichment

Requirements

  • An Alice account — sign up free at aliceapp.ai (includes 60 free minutes)
  • An MCP-compatible AI client (Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Grok, etc.)
