Overview
A local MCP server that parses and renders Jinja-like prompt templates with variables, for-loops and if-conditions, using only the Python standard library.
- What you can do
- Render prompt templates that use variables, for-loops and if-conditions
- Parse and validate template syntax before rendering
- Produce filled-in prompt text for reuse across agent workflows
- Run as a local MCP server or be imported as a Python library
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs to fill reusable prompt templates with data, or generate repeated prompt blocks from lists and conditions, without pulling in a full templating dependency.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process on the user's machine, started with Python (the README shows running mcp_server.py). Desktop only; no authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. No third-party runtime dependencies.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open GenPark Jinja-Like Prompt Template Renderer in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
