Overview

AI-generated overview

Monitors product prices on Japanese e-commerce sites and alerts an assistant's user when prices drop, via a local stdio server.

What you can do
  • Create, list, inspect, update and delete price watches for product URLs on Japanese marketplaces such as Mercari, Yahoo Auctions, Rakuten, SUUMO, Kakaku.com and Suruga-ya
  • Run an immediate price check on one watch or batch-check all due watches
  • Read historical price data for a watched item
  • Detect which supported platform a product URL belongs to
  • Send alerts on price thresholds, any drop, percentage drops or restock, to logs, Telegram or a webhook
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to track prices of items on Japanese marketplaces and shopping or auction sites and notify you when a target price is reached or an item drops in price or comes back in stock.
Requirements
Runs locally as a stdio process; the README lists Python 3.10 or newer with fastmcp, or installation through the Smithery CLI. Optional environment variables PRICE_WATCH_DB for the SQLite database path, and TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN plus TELEGRAM_CHAT_ID for Telegram alerts. Network access is needed to scrape the marketplace pages.
Before you install
Telegram notifications require a bot token and chat ID, which are secrets to store carefully. Webhook alerts POST to a URL you supply, so data leaves the machine. Watches write to a local SQLite database and can be updated or deleted. Scraping marketplace pages may conflict with their terms of service. Email alerts are only logged, not actually sent.
