ATXP — Agent Payment & Wallet Infrastructure
io.github.atxp-devPublished by GitHub account atxp-devv1.21.2Updated Oct 24, 2026
Agent wallet, email, phone, and 41 paid tools: search, image/video/music gen, SMS, calls.
Overview
Gives an AI assistant a prepaid ATXP account with a wallet, email, phone number, and pay-per-use tools such as search, media generation, SMS, and calls.
- What you can do
- ATXP runs as a local MCP server over stdio and exposes around 41 tools grouped into account, search, media, email, phone, contacts, and agents. Account tools let the agent self-register, check balance, fund the account, and view transactions; other tools cover web and X/Twitter search, image, video and music generation, sending and reading email from an @atxp.email address, SMS and voice calls, contact sync, and sub-agent management. Some additional remote tools, such as browsing, crawling, research, sandboxed code execution, and cloud file storage, are described as available only through the Gemini CLI extension and require settings.
- When to use it
- Worth adding when an assistant should pay for its own tools per use instead of managing separate API keys, or when it needs an agent-owned email address, phone number, or wallet. It suits tasks like web and social search, media generation, outbound SMS or calls, and sandboxed code execution.
- Requirements
- A local Node.js runtime to run the npm package atxp over stdio, plus an MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI. An ATXP account is needed: either self-register through the atxp_register tool or supply the ATXP_CONNECTION connection string from an existing account. Network access is required, and the account must be funded in USDC for paid tools.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open ATXP — Agent Payment & Wallet Infrastructure in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
ATXP — Agent Payment & Wallet Infrastructure
Give your AI agent a wallet, email, phone number, and instant access to paid MCP tools — web search, image/video/music generation, X/Twitter search, SMS, voice calls, code execution, file storage, and more.
ATXP (Agent Transaction Protocol) lets AI agents pay for their own tools and services without managing API keys. Self-register in one command, pay per use. Works with any MCP client.
Install
Gemini CLI
After installing, start a new Gemini CLI session for the extension tools to load.
Claude Desktop / Cursor / Windsurf
Add to your MCP client config (e.g. claude_desktop_config.json):
Any MCP Client
ATXP runs as a standard MCP server over stdio. Point any MCP-compatible client at the command above.
Setup
Option 1: Agent self-registration (recommended)
No browser, no human login needed. Just ask your agent:
The agent calls the atxp_register tool, which creates an account instantly with:
- 10 IOU tokens to start
- A unique email address
- An Ethereum wallet
- A connection string (saved automatically)
No settings to configure — the agent is ready to use all tools immediately.
Option 2: Use an existing ATXP account
If you already have an ATXP account from accounts.atxp.ai, set the ATXP_CONNECTION environment variable to your connection string, or pass it to the CLI:
For Gemini CLI, enter the token and account ID when prompted during extension setup.
Available Tools
Core Tools (41 tools, always available)
Remote MCP Tools (Gemini CLI extension only, requires settings)
Usage
Just ask your agent naturally:
The agent uses the appropriate ATXP tool automatically.
Managing Your Account
Use the built-in tools or the ATXP CLI:
Billing
All tools are pay-per-use, billed to your ATXP account in USDC. Typical costs:
No subscriptions, no API keys to manage.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
