Overview

AI-generated overview

AutoSugges MCP server that lets an assistant autocomplete against edge-served reference lists such as countries, NAICS codes and airports, and browse the…

What you can do
  • Query one reference list with a single search term and get ranked, bounded autocomplete suggestions.
  • Browse the platform dataset catalog with slug, name, description, category, availability and authority.
  • Look up metadata and a docs link for one dataset by slug.
  • Retrieve agent-ready instructions for integrating AutoSugges into a framework or calling a runtime endpoint.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to resolve or suggest canonical reference values (country names, industry codes, airports, currencies) while building forms or integrations, or needs setup guidance for the AutoSugges client. Not intended for enumerating whole lists or fetching dataset items.
Requirements
Runs locally over stdio from the npm package @autosugges/mcp (Node.js). Requires a publishable key in AUTOSUGGES_PUBLISHABLE_KEY, free from the AutoSugges app, which determines which list is searched; AUTOSUGGES_RUNTIME_URL sets the runtime origin. Network access to the AutoSugges runtime is needed.
Before you install
The publishable key is a credential passed via environment variable; the README states publishable keys are safe in a browser and are locked to site origins. Search returns suggestions for one query only and cannot enumerate a list, and the dataset tools return metadata only, never items. Queries are sent to the AutoSugges runtime.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AutoSugges in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

README

@autosugges/client

AutoSugges: edge autocomplete API + free reference datasets (countries, NAICS, airports, currencies…) behind one React / React Native / HTML component.

[npm] [license]

Docs: https://docs.autosugges.com · Datasets: https://autosugges.com

sh
npm i @autosugges/client

Replace YOUR_PUBLISHABLE_KEY with a free key from https://app.autosugges.com — one key per list, locked to your site's origins. Publishable keys are safe in a browser.

React / Next.js

tsx
'use client';import { useState } from 'react';import { AutoSugges } from '@autosugges/client/react';import { AutosuggesProvider, type AutoSuggesValue } from '@autosugges/client/react-core';
export function CountryField() {  const [country, setCountry] = useState<AutoSuggesValue>(null);  return (    <AutosuggesProvider lists={{ countries: 'YOUR_PUBLISHABLE_KEY' }}>      <AutoSugges list="countries" value={country} onChange={setCountry} />    </AutosuggesProvider>  );}

value is the full selected item (an array for multi-select lists). Behaviour — minimum characters, debounce, creatable items, multi-select — comes from the list's server policy; overrides can only narrow it.

Expo / React Native

tsx
import { AutoSugges } from '@autosugges/client/native-ui';import { AutosuggesProvider } from '@autosugges/client/react-core';// same props as web: <AutoSugges list="countries" value={value} onChange={setValue} />

Optional peers for the bottom-sheet presentation: @gorhom/bottom-sheet, react-native-gesture-handler, react-native-reanimated.

Plain HTML

html
<script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@autosugges/client/dist/browser/autosugges.js"></script><input  data-autosugges-key="YOUR_PUBLISHABLE_KEY"  data-autosugges-base-url="https://runtime.autosugges.com"  data-autosugges-placeholder="Country"/>

Self-hosted copy with an SRI hash: https://autosugges.com/sdk/v1/autosugges.js. Other attributes: data-autosugges-theme (light|dark), -locale, -label, -parent, -access-token. Call window.AutoSugges.autoInit() after injecting markup later.

Entry points

. (client, combobox state machine) · ./react · ./react-core · ./native · ./native-ui · ./browser. Style it with CSS custom properties (--as-color-text, --as-font-sans, …); see the docs.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
