22 pay-per-call x402 tools for agents: scam checks, payment pre-flight, approvals, data. USDC/Base

Overview

AI-generated overview

Pay-per-call trust toolkit: 22 x402 tools for scam checks, payment pre-flight, wallet screening, approvals and data lookups, settled in USDC on Base.

What you can do
  • Check websites, businesses, stores, tokens and wallets for scam, fraud and rug risk, with verdicts, trust scores and red flags
  • Vet a payment before sending money, screen wallet addresses for sanctions, and get policy approvals or human sign-off with signed receipts
  • Extract contacts, page text and metadata, and research companies, domains and reputation history
  • Issue signed org credentials and pull crypto prices, market overviews, trending coins, movers and FX rates
  • Fetch weather, Wikipedia topic summaries and combined destination intel for trip planning
When to use it
Useful for agents that pay or transact on the open web and need a counterparty check before trusting or sending funds. Also handy when you want quick crypto market, FX, weather or Wikipedia lookups from one server.
Requirements
Runs locally over stdio via npx (Node.js). No account or API key. Optional WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY for a dedicated low-balance Base wallet holding USDC enables paid calls; without it each tool returns only the 402 price quote. DYOE_MAX_PAYMENT_USD caps per-call spend (default 0.10). Network access to the DYOE endpoint.
Before you install
Paid mode requires WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY, a private key that signs USDC payments on Base; use a burner wallet with a few dollars, never a main wallet. Calls cost real money per use, and dyoe_review is $15, above the default cap. dyoe_approve and dyoe_review record approval requests with DYOE on your behalf. Queries such as domains, wallets and URLs are sent to a third-party endpoint.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open DYOE Trust Tools (x402) in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

README

dyoe-trust-mcp

MCP server for DYOE, the trust layer for AI agents. It gives Claude, Cursor or any MCP client 22 pay-per-call tools from agents.dyoeway.org: scam and fraud checks, payment pre-flight, wallet screening, policy approval and human sign-off, contact extraction, company research, and data tools. Every call settles in USDC on Base via x402. You need no account or API key.

  • Free preview by default. Without a wallet, each tool makes one unpaid request and returns the x402 payment requirements (HTTP 402: price, network, payTo). Nothing is signed or spent.
  • Paid mode. Set WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY to a dedicated, low-balance Base wallet holding USDC. The key stays on your machine (stdio) and signs each payment locally. Each call is capped at DYOE_MAX_PAYMENT_USD (default 0.10). Tools priced above the cap (dyoe_review, $15) are refused until you raise it.

Install

Claude Desktop

Add this to claude_desktop_config.json (macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json, Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json), then restart Claude:

json

Tools (22)

Prices are what the endpoint charges per call. The live 402 is the authority, and every result reports the price it quoted.

ToolPriceWhat it does
dyoe_verify$0.01DYOE Trust Check: Check whether a website, business, or wallet is a scam before an agent trusts or pays it — fraud, phishing and rug-risk screening. Returns verdict (safe/caution/avoid), trust_score, domain age, red_flags. Input: ?target=domain
dyoe_transaction$0.10DYOE Payment Pre-Flight: Vet an entire payment before an agent sends money: is the counterparty site legit, is the payee wallet sanctioned or disposable, is the amount within policy. Returns proceed/caution/stop, reasons, and a signed attestation — one go/no-go instead of three calls. Input: ?domain=merchant.com&wallet=0x...&amount=500

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
