What you can do

• Read and write cell values, append, clear, batch-update and find-replace across ranges
• Manage tabs and structure: add, delete, rename, copy, reorder, freeze, insert or delete rows and columns, merge cells
• Format sheets: cell and number formats, column and row sizing, banding, conditional formatting, data validation, notes and hyperlinks
• Work with named ranges, Google Sheets tables, embedded charts and basic filters
• Inspect and manage Connected Sheets data sources from BigQuery or Looker, including refresh and bounded reads
• Export spreadsheets as CSV, TSV, XLSX, PDF, ODS or HTML, and snapshot a spreadsheet before risky edits

When to use it

Use it when an assistant needs to work directly in Google Sheets rather than just read values: building or restructuring spreadsheets, applying formatting and validation, managing charts and tables, or refreshing BigQuery-backed Connected Sheets data.

Requirements

Runs locally as an npm package on Node.js 22 or newer, with gogcli installed and authenticated for the target Google account. Set GOG_ACCOUNT to the account email; optionally set GOG_PATH, DISPLAY_TZ and GOG_TIMEZONE. Desktop client only.
