Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for HTML.now that lets an assistant convert HTML and documents to PDF, DOCX, images, XML or spreadsheets and track the jobs.

What you can do
  • Look up available converters and their slugs in the live HTML.now catalog
  • Submit a public HTML or document URL for conversion with a chosen converter and optionally wait for the result
  • Check the status of a conversion job and get a temporary download link when it finishes
  • Review the account's API credits, usage and rate limits
When to use it
Use it when you need to turn HTML pages or documents into PDF, DOCX, PNG, JPG, XML, XLSX or XLS without running conversion software locally, and want the assistant to submit jobs and fetch the finished files.
Requirements
A remote connection to the HTML.now endpoint over streamable HTTP. A required HTML.now API key sent in the X-API-Key header. The source files must be publicly accessible URLs; private-network URLs and URLs with embedded credentials are rejected.
Before you install
The API key is a secret sent in the X-API-Key header, so keep it out of logs and shared transcripts. Conversions consume API credits, which the usage tool reports. Submitted URLs are fetched by a third-party service, so avoid passing sensitive or internal links. Download links returned for finished jobs are temporary.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open HTML.now MCP Server in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect X-API-Key credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.chrisyau83%2Fhtml-now/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
