Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that lets an assistant convert PowerPoint files between PPT, PPTX, PPS, PPSX, POT and POTX formats via the PPT.now API.

What you can do
  • Look up available converters and their slugs in the live PPT.now catalog
  • Submit a publicly accessible PowerPoint or supported input URL to a chosen converter, optionally waiting for the result
  • Check the status of a conversion job and get a temporary download link when it finishes
  • Read the caller's API credits, usage and rate limits
When to use it
Useful when you need to convert PowerPoint decks between formats such as PPT to PDF, PPTX to PPT or PPTX to JPG without running conversion software locally, and want the assistant to submit jobs and fetch results.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at ppt.now over streamable HTTP; no local package. Requires a PPT.now API key sent in the X-API-Key header. Input files must be reachable at a public URL, and network access is needed.
Before you install
The API key is a secret sent in the X-API-Key header. Conversions consume API credits, so check usage and rate limits. Submitted files are fetched from public URLs and processed by a third-party service, so avoid confidential decks; private-network URLs and URLs with embedded credentials are rejected. Download links are temporary.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open PPT.now MCP Server in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect X-API-Key credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.chrisyau83%2Fppt-now/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
