Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote XML.now server that lets an assistant convert XML and data files into JSON, CSV, XLSX, HTML, TXT, PDF or YAML via hosted conversion jobs.

What you can do
  • Look up available converters and their slugs in the live XML.now catalog
  • Submit a publicly reachable XML or data-file URL for conversion with a chosen converter, optionally waiting for the result
  • Check the status of a conversion job and retrieve a temporary download link when it completes
  • Review the caller's API credits, usage and rate limits
When to use it
Useful when you need to turn XML or other structured data files into JSON, CSV, XLSX, HTML, TXT, PDF or YAML without running a converter locally, especially for files already reachable by public URL.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at xml.now over streamable HTTP; an XML.now API key supplied in the X-API-Key header; network access from the service to the file URL being converted.
Before you install
Requires an API key in the X-API-Key header, and conversions consume API credits, so usage and rate limits should be checked. Files are fetched by the third-party service from the URL you provide, so only submit URLs whose contents may be shared with it; private-network URLs and URLs with embedded credentials are rejected. Download links returned for completed jobs are temporary.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open XML.now MCP Server in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect X-API-Key credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.chrisyau83%2Fxml-now/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
