Requirements

Mailbox access needs OAuth or IMAP/SMTP credentials; GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID and GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET are optional overrides for a custom Google OAuth client. FLUXMAIL_LICENSE_KEY is optional for paid plan limits.
Before you install
The server stores an encryption key and mailbox settings in the data directory, so protect that directory. It can send and delete or reorganize mail, so review actions before granting broad use. It holds OAuth client secrets and mailbox credentials; a custom GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET is a secret to keep out of shared configs. Mail content is processed by the assistant you connect.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Fluxmail in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Fluxmail

Fluxmail is self-hosted email infrastructure for agents and apps. It connects to Gmail, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, and IMAP/SMTP mailboxes. Agents use MCP, apps and backend workflows use the versioned REST API, and operators use the CLI to connect mailboxes, manage access, and run the service.

Install

Fluxmail requires Node.js 22.22 or later.

Documentation

Fluxmail supports stdio for local MCP clients. Its HTTP server provides Streamable HTTP MCP and REST for local, Docker, and remote deployments. Use an exact package version instead of @latest when you need a reproducible installation.

License

Fluxmail is source available under the Elastic License 2.0. You may use, modify, create derivative works, and redistribute it subject to that license. The Personal plan supports three mailboxes and one member without a paid key. Official Pro, Business, and Enterprise entitlements require a valid Fluxmail license key.
