Overview

AI-generated overview

TruthPal is a local MCP server that lets an assistant verify claims against sources and check citations, paying $0.02 USDC per verification on Base.

What you can do
  • Verify claims against sources and check citations through the TruthPal service.
  • Each verification is authorized by a small USDC payment on the Base network, charged per request.
  • No tool list is published, so the exact operations are not documented in the supplied material.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to fact-check statements or confirm that citations actually support a claim, and you are willing to pay a small per-verification fee in USDC.
Requirements
Runs as a local stdio process installed from the npm package truthpal-mcp (Node.js). Requires the environment variable X402_BUYER_PRIVATE_KEY holding the private key of a dedicated, limited-balance Base wallet, plus network access to the TruthPal API and the Base network.
Before you install
The server needs a wallet private key in X402_BUYER_PRIVATE_KEY; anyone with that key can spend the wallet's funds, so use a dedicated wallet with a small balance. Every verification costs $0.02 USDC, so repeated use spends real money. Claims and queries are sent to the third-party TruthPal service.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
