Overview

AI-generated overview

A hosted MCP endpoint giving assistants sourced, date-aware UK tax, payroll and deadline rates plus Companies House business checks.

What you can do
List rule topics and search rule keys, labels and topics (free). Retrieve the UK rate or threshold in force for a rule key on a given date, with effective dates and source. Retrieve every historical version of a rule ordered by start date. List UK tax and payroll deadlines with the next due date. Search Companies House for UK companies by name and check a company's status, filing health, penalty band, officers and PSCs.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant answers UK tax, payroll, bookkeeping or compliance questions and needs figures tied to a specific date with GOV.UK sources, or needs to verify a UK company's standing and filing health.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing to install locally. Free tools need no key or payment. Paid tools need either an API key sent in the Authorization header as a Bearer token, or per-call x402 payment in USDC on Base. Network access to the hosted service.
Before you install
Paid tools cost money: $0.005 USDC per call and $0.02 for the business check via x402, or a £19/£49 monthly subscription; failed calls are not charged. The Authorization header carries a secret API key. The service is closed source and run by a third party, and company lookups send queries to that provider. Output is information only, not tax or legal advice, and should be verified against the source.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open UK Rules & Rates in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.dailylifeelevation-ai%2Fukrules-mcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

UK Rules & Rates (MCP server)

Sourced, date-aware UK tax, payroll and bookkeeping rates and deadlines for AI agents. Every answer comes with the date it applies from (and to), when it was last checked, and the official GOV.UK (or legislation.gov.uk) page it came from. There is also a UK business check built on Companies House data.

This repository only describes the hosted service. The service itself is run by Blake's Tec Solutions & Co and is not open source.

MCP endpoint (Streamable HTTP): https://ukrules.dailylifeelevation.workers.dev/mcp

Information only, not tax or legal advice. Verify with the source.
