Requirements
Runs locally as a Node.js process (Node.js 18+); the npm package mc-rp-assistant-mcp is started over stdio. No account or API key is needed. Network access is required only for the Modrinth search and info tools. Optional environment variables tune the Modrinth API base, User-Agent, texture and icon size limits, and search result limits.
Before you install
The Modrinth search and info tools send queries to the Modrinth API (or a configured alternate API base), so those requests leave the machine. Validation and comparison tools only read pack files. Configuration can be overridden through environment variables or a .env file in the project root.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Mc Rp Assistant in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

优先级：环境变量 > .env 文件 > rp-config.json > 内置默认值。改动后重启 MCP server 生效。

All tools use cross-platform Node.js fs and path APIs. .zip support requires adm-zip. Network-dependent tools (search_rp_on_modrinth, get_rp_info) work on all platforms when online; they return empty results gracefully when offline.
