AI data agent — schema analysis, query optimization, PII detection, pipelines.
Overview
A local npm MCP server that connects an assistant to Dingdawg's hosted AI data agent for schema analysis, query optimization, PII detection and pipelines.
- What you can do
- Connects the assistant to the Dingdawg hosted agent for data work such as schema analysis, query optimization, PII detection and pipeline handling, as described in the registry listing. Routes agent calls through a governance gate that scores, logs and decides on each request. Produces cryptographically signed governance receipts recording what was decided, why, which model and version, and when. Supports compliance classification and regulation lookup. Exposes agent trust scores with a live stream, plus developer signup and Stripe-based billing endpoints.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to help with database schema and query work while keeping a signed audit trail of each governed action, or when you need compliance classification and regulation lookup alongside agent activity.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process via npx from the npm package dingdawg-data-agent, so Node.js is needed. Requires a DINGDAWG_API_KEY, obtained by signing up through the developer signup endpoint; the README says the key is shown once. Network access to the Dingdawg API is required. Desktop only.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Dingdawg Data Agent in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
DingDawg Agent 1
Governance receipts for AI agents.
Every action a governed agent takes generates a cryptographically-signed receipt: what it decided, why, which model, which version, at what time. Built toward EU AI Act Art. 12, Colorado AI Act (SB 24-205), and NIST AI RMF requirements.
The receipt is what turns a policy document into evidence.
What's live today
Backed by 10 governed-agent npm packages (compliance, legal, healthcare, finance, devops, marketing, sales, support, code-review, planning).

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
