Overview

AI-generated overview

A hosted MCP server that turns a crawled documentation site into searchable tools, letting an assistant list, read, search and ask questions about those docs.

What you can do
List and read documentation pages, including the full markdown of a single page and all pages combined as one document. Search documentation with heading-aware matching. Get a documentation overview with a summary and index. Ask documentation questions and receive answers with citations.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to answer questions from a specific documentation site (for example a framework or API docs) without pasting pages into the chat, and you already have a doc2mcp project with a hosted MCP endpoint.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at doc2mcp.site, reachable over the network. A bearer token sent in the Authorization header, taken from the project's Connect tab; the token is required. No local runtime or packages are needed.
Before you install
The Authorization header carries a project MCP token that should be treated like a password; anyone holding it can use the endpoint. Documentation content is crawled and served by a third-party hosted service, so queries and page content pass through doc2mcp.site.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open manus in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.doc2mcp%2Fmanus/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Three ways to use doc2mcp

[Web · CLI · SDK]

SurfaceBest forStart here
WebInstant convert in the browserdoc2mcp.site
CLITerminal + one-shot install into Cursornpm i -g doc2mcp
SDKCode, CI, LangChain / LangGraph / agentsdoc2mcp-sdk

API keys always come from doc2mcp.site (User PAT + project token). The SDK has no separate login.

The pipeline

[The doc2mcp pipeline]

Docs URL → crawl → analyze → MCP tools → hosted endpoint → Cursor / Claude / LangChain / LangGraph.

1) Web (normal)

  1. Sign in at doc2mcp.site/login
  2. Paste a docs URL (Stripe, LangChain, Mintlify, GitHub…)
  3. Copy the hosted MCP URL + Bearer token into Cursor / Claude / VS Code
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "my-docs": {      "url": "https://doc2mcp.site/api/mcp/{project_id}/mcp",      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <project-token>" }    }  }}

2) CLI

bash
npm install -g doc2mcpdoc2mcp login                 # creates User PAT (d2mcp_pat_…)doc2mcp https://docs.example.com

Lists the same projects as the dashboard. Install helpers for Cursor / VS Code / Claude / Windsurf.

3) SDK (doc2mcp-sdk)

[SDK architecture]

bash
npm i doc2mcp-sdk
ts
import { Doc2MCP } from "doc2mcp-sdk";
// User PAT from doc2mcp.site / `npx doc2mcp login` — SDK has no auth of its ownconst client = new Doc2MCP({ token: process.env.DOC2MCP_API_TOKEN! }); // Settings → d2mcp_usr_…
const ready = await client.convertAndWait({  sourceUrl: "https://js.langchain.com/docs",});
const answer = await client.callToolText({  mcpUrl: ready.mcp.url,  mcpToken: ready.mcp.token, // project token d2mcp_…  name: "search_documentation",  arguments: { query: "how do runnables work?" },});

60% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
