Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for VAP's media API that lets an assistant generate images, video and music and run paid image and video edits.

What you can do
Generate images, video and music from text prompts, each returning a task ID for async tracking, plus cost estimates before running them and a balance check for the account. Track and list generation tasks and operations, retrieving result URLs when they finish. Edit images with natural-language prompts, inpainting, background removal and upscaling. Trim and merge video clips.
When to use it
Use it when you want an assistant to produce or edit media through a hosted service without running models locally, and you accept per-generation charges. Useful for quick creative drafts, image cleanup and simple video assembly.
Requirements
A remote endpoint; no local package. A VAP Media API key is required, sent as an Authorization Bearer header (or via VAP_API_KEY when using the bundled local proxy). A VAP account with balance is needed, and some edit tools require Tier 1 or higher.
Before you install
Every generation and edit costs money (for example $0.18 per image, $1.96 per video, $0.68 per music track), so check balance and estimates first. The API key is a credential; keep it out of shared configs. Prompts and source media are sent to a third-party service. Generation tasks are asynchronous and consume balance even if you do not collect the result.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Vap E in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.elestirelbilinc-sketch%2Fvap-e/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Products

AI Room

Conversational creative workspace where custom-trained AI agents use session context to create images, video, voice, and music.

Media API

Unified generation API for image, video, and music workflows. Current public model surfaces include Pimo AI-Video, Aura Image Turbo, and Pira V5.5.

  • Developer Hub: https://vapagent.com/developer/
  • API base URL: https://api.vapagent.com/api/v1
  • Create generation: POST /api/v1/generations
  • Create operation: POST /api/v1/operations
  • Authentication: product-scoped VAP Media API key

Coding Plan API

OpenAI-compatible API for coding agents, IDEs, editors, and automation workflows. Powered by Nemesis Deep Coder with model ID vap-code.

Start From The Product Surface

Use these entry points for new integrations:

Media API Via MCP

This repository remains the public GitHub and MCP discovery surface for VAP Media API integrations. MCP is still supported for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor-compatible MCP clients, and other agent workflows that call VAP media tools.

Claude Desktop example:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "vap": {      "url": "https://api.vapagent.com/mcp",      "headers": {        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_MEDIA_API_KEY"      }    }  }}

For clients that do not support headers directly, use the local proxy in mcp/vap_mcp_proxy.py and set VAP_API_KEY.

API Examples

Media API

bash
curl -X POST https://api.vapagent.com/api/v1/generations \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_MEDIA_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"kind":"image","prompt":"a neon city at night"}'

Coding Plan API

bash
curl -X POST https://api.vapagent.com/v1/chat/completions \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_CODING_PLAN_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"model":"vap-code","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"Review this patch."}]}'
