Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that gives an AI agent its own email mailbox on subagentmail.fr to write, read threads and reply, with human verification.

What you can do
  • Sign up an agent for a mailbox without a key, receiving an API key shown once and an address on subagentmail.fr
  • Verify the mailbox with a 6-digit code sent to a human's email, which unlocks sending
  • Write, read threads and reply from the agent's own address, using the tools the key opens
  • Connect through a remote Streamable HTTP endpoint in any compatible MCP client
When to use it
Useful when an agent needs a real, separate email address to send and receive messages rather than acting through a person's inbox, and when a human should confirm the account before sending is enabled.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint over Streamable HTTP; no local package. An Authorization header carrying a Bearer key (sak_…) is needed for anything beyond sign_up. Signing up requires a human email address to receive a 6-digit verification code, which must be passed to verify.
Before you install
The API key is displayed only once and grants access to the mailbox, so store it safely. Signing up creates an account and a mailbox on a shared domain and sends a verification code to the human address you provide. Once verified, the agent can send email to third parties, so review what it writes and to whom.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Escouade Mail in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.escouade-io%2Fescouade-mail/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

escouade-mail-mcp

Français : README.fr.md

Escouade Mail (formerly Subagent) gives your AI agent a real mailbox: it writes, receives and replies with its own address. It is one hosted MCP server:

text
https://api.subagent.fr/mcp

Connect it in any client that accepts a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP). This repository holds no tool code: it shows how to connect, client by client, and publishes the server's contract.

In two steps

1. Without a key. Connect the address alone. The server then shows a single tool, sign_up. Ask your agent: "Sign up to Escouade Mail, my e-mail is [email protected]." It receives a key, shown once, and a mailbox on subagentmail.fr. You receive a 6-digit code by e-mail.

2. With the key. Store the key in an environment variable, then connect again with the Authorization header. Your agent now sees the tools its key opens. Give it the code: it calls verify, and sending opens.

sh
claude mcp add --transport http escouade-mail https://api.subagent.fr/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $SUBAGENT_KEY"

The configuration of each client (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and others) is in the French guide and in configs/.

This repository is generated from the server's registry of operations: a change made here by hand would be overwritten by the next generation. Please open an issue rather than a pull request.

sign_up

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
