Overview

AI-generated overview

GoDrop is a self-hosted file host MCP server that lets an assistant upload a file and get back a public URL to share.

What you can do
Upload files to your own GoDrop instance and receive a public URL for the uploaded file, which the assistant can then paste into places such as a pull request.
When to use it
Useful when you run your own GoDrop file host and want an assistant to publish files and hand back shareable links, for example to attach screenshots or artifacts to a pull request.
Requirements
Runs locally over stdio, launched with Docker from the published container image. Needs a reachable GoDrop instance: set GODROP_URL to its base URL and GODROP_TOKEN to an API token created on that instance.
Before you install
Requires an API token (GODROP_TOKEN) for your instance, so treat it as a secret. Uploaded files become publicly reachable through the returned URL, so avoid sending sensitive content.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open GoDrop in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
