SRT Subtitle Generator
io.github.fernandoguiraud16-coderv1.0.0Updated Oct 6, 2026
Generate SRT and VTT subtitles for any video or audio file, 99 languages.
Overview
Generates SRT and VTT subtitle files for video or audio in 99 languages through a hosted Apify endpoint.
- What it does
- This remote MCP server exposes an Apify-hosted subtitle generator that turns video or audio input into broadcast-formatted SRT or VTT subtitles, with lines capped at 42 characters and two lines. It is part of a larger family of Apify data tools that also cover transcription, transcripts and document extraction. The manifest lists no individual tools, so the exact tool names and parameters are not shown here.
- When to use it
- Use it when an assistant needs subtitle files for a video or audio asset and you would rather call a hosted service than run a local speech-to-text pipeline. It suits one-off captioning or subtitle generation across many languages.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint at mcp.apify.com over streamable HTTP. The README's quick start says to create an Apify account and set an APIFY_TOKEN environment variable, and notes the tools are pay per result with free-plan monthly credits. No packages, environment variables or headers are declared in the manifest itself.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open SRT Subtitle Generator in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
