Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server giving an AI assistant Belgian company data from the CBE register, NBB annual accounts and the Belgian Official Gazette, plus a firmbase sales

What you can do
Look up and identify Belgian companies from the CBE register, NBB annual accounts and the Belgian Gazette, with guidance on which of the 33 data tools answers which question and how to cite sources (read-only). Run structured counterparty due diligence: status, figures, insolvency notices, the 30bis/30ter withholding obligation and sanctions screening. Build prospect lists of companies in a sector and region, ranked on revenue or staff against the sector median. Work with your own firmbase account through 34 workspace tools: sales lists and pipeline, notes and reminders, saved searches, watchlist and watch rules, leads and exports. Changes such as creating a list, moving a company to won, or
When to use it
Useful when you need Belgian company information, due diligence on a counterparty, or prospect research by sector and region inside an AI assistant, and when you want that research connected to your own firmbase sales lists and watchlist.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at api.firmbase.be added as a custom connector (or via the Claude Code or Codex plugin). A firmbase account signed in through OAuth; no API key is pasted. Which tools are available depends on your firmbase account. Network access is required.
Before you install
The connection gets its own key on your firmbase account, which you can review and revoke in the dashboard. Data tools only read, but workspace tools can request changes to your lists, notes and watchlist; these take effect only after you confirm them on the Approvals page, and requests expire after a day. firmbase receives the tool calls your assistant makes, such as company numbers or search terms, though not the conversation itself.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open firmbase in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.firmbase-be%2Ffirmbase/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

firmbase plugin for Claude and Codex

Belgian company data inside your AI assistant, from the official sources: the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO/BCE/CBE) register, the annual accounts filed with the National Bank of Belgium, and the Belgian Official Gazette. Refreshed every night.

The plugin connects the firmbase MCP server and adds four skills:

  • belgian-company-data: which of the 33 data tools answers which question, how to identify a company, and how to cite the sources.
  • company-due-diligence: a structured check of a counterparty, from status and figures to insolvency notices, the 30bis/30ter withholding obligation and sanctions screening.
  • prospect-list: target companies in a sector and region, ranked on revenue or staff, next to the sector median, and saved as a list in firmbase if you want.
  • sales-workspace: your own firmbase account through 34 more tools: sales lists and their pipeline, notes and reminders, saved searches, the watchlist and watch rules, leads and exports.

Nothing changes without you

The data tools only read. The workspace tools read your lists, notes and watchlist directly, but they never change them on their own. When the assistant wants to change something, such as creating a list, moving a company to won, adding a note or following a company, it files a request. You see that request on the Approvals page in firmbase, with the companies by name, and you confirm or reject it there. Nothing happens until you click Confirm, and a request expires after a day.

Install

Claude Code

bash
claude plugin marketplace add firmbase-be/firmbase-pluginclaude plugin install firmbase@firmbase

Then run /mcp in Claude Code, choose firmbase and Authenticate. Your browser opens firmbase to sign in.

Codex

bash
codex plugin marketplace add firmbase-be/firmbase-plugincodex plugin add firmbase@firmbase

Codex asks you to sign in with firmbase when the plugin is installed.

Claude.ai, ChatGPT and other MCP clients

No plugin needed. Add https://api.firmbase.be/mcp as a custom connector and sign in when asked. See firmbase.be/en/api/mcp for per-client steps.

Sign-in

You sign in with your firmbase account through OAuth. You don't paste an API key anywhere. The connection gets its own key on your account, named after the client, so you can see its usage and revoke it in the dashboard.

Which tools your account reaches is set by your firmbase account. A tool it does not reach says so, and the assistant tells you.

Privacy

firmbase receives the tool calls your assistant makes, such as a company number or a search term, the same as an API call. It never sees the conversation itself. See the privacy policy.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
