Unofficial remote MCP server for Central Bank of Türkiye (TCMB) exchange rates: latest bulletin, history since 1996, and currency conversion.
What you can do
Fetch the latest TCMB daily bulletin with TRY rates per unit of foreign currency
Retrieve the bulletin for a specific date, back to 1996, with fallback to the previous business day when none was published
Convert amounts between currencies, including cross rates via TRY, with rate and calculation breakdown
List currencies in the latest bulletin with English and Turkish names, quoting units and available rate types
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs official Turkish lira reference rates, historical rate lookups, or quick conversions involving TRY, without building its own scraper for the central bank bulletins.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no authentication, environment variables or headers declared. Network access to the hosted endpoint is required.
Before you install
Unofficial and not affiliated with the central bank; rates are indicative daily bulletins, not trading quotes. Bulletins before 2005-01-01 use old Turkish lira, so historical comparisons need care. Today's bulletin may not exist before roughly 15:30 Türkiye time and falls back to the previous one.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.foster-ops%2Ftcmb-exchange-rates/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
