Overview

AI-generated overview

Renders deterministic social images with exact typography from a spec, paying per call in USDC on Base.

What you can do
Turns a text spec into a PNG image with typography that matches the requested text exactly, since it renders HTML to SVG and rasterises it rather than using an image model. Tools include render_image for a single format, render_bundle for a whole platform set in one paid call, and list_formats, which is free. Ten formats are offered, covering Instagram, Facebook, Open Graph, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube thumbnails and quote cards.
When to use it
Use it when an assistant needs social or preview images whose lettering must be correct, such as headlines, quotes or Open Graph cards. It suits workflows where per-image payment is preferable to an account or subscription, and where the same spec should always produce the same pixels.
Requirements
Runs locally as an npm package over stdio, so Node.js and npx are needed. A wallet private key supplied as the environment variable X402_PRIVATE_KEY, holding USDC on Base, is required for paid rendering; without it the server still starts and list_formats still works. Network access is needed to settle payments.
Before you install
The server asks for X402_PRIVATE_KEY, a wallet private key that signs payments; the README advises using a wallet funded only with what you are willing to spend rather than a main wallet. Rendering costs money: $0.03 per image and $0.75 to $2.00 per bundle, settled in USDC on Base, though nothing is charged if a render fails. The key is described as staying on the machine, with only the payment authorization sent.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Getdigitalcraft Mcp Render in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

README

getdigitalcraft-render (MCP)

Deterministic social image rendering for AI agents. Spec in, PNG out, with typography that is exactly the text you asked for — image models still garble lettering; this cannot, because it isn't a model. Paid per call in USDC on Base over x402, so there is no account, no API key and no subscription.

  • render_image — one format, $0.03
  • render_bundle — a whole platform set in one paid call ($0.75–$2.00)
  • list_formats — free, makes no payment

Ten formats: Instagram square / portrait / story, Facebook feed, Open Graph, X card, LinkedIn, Pinterest pin, YouTube thumbnail, quote card.

X402_PRIVATE_KEY is your wallet, holding USDC on Base. It never leaves your machine — this server signs payments locally and sends only the authorization. Use a wallet funded with what you're willing to spend on rendering, not your main one.

Without the key the server still starts and list_formats still answers; only paying is disabled.

Why it's deterministic

satori renders HTML to SVG, resvg rasterises it. No diffusion, no GPU, no sampling — so the same spec always yields the same pixels, and the headline you pass is the headline that appears. Roughly 250ms warm.

Cost

$0.03 per image, $0.75–$2.00 per bundle, settled in USDC on Base. Nothing is charged if the render fails.
