Amanchain Mcp
io.github.gitajhdv1.0.1Updated Oct 6, 2026
59 pay-per-call AI services as MCP tools with automatic x402 USDC-on-Base payment.
Overview
Gives an assistant 59 pay-per-call AI services, from crypto prices to LLM chat and web search, paid automatically in USDC on Base.
- What it does
- Exposes a catalog tool plus one tool per service, covering crypto prices and token audits, whale alerts, market reports, LLM chat, image generation, invoices and receipts, web fetch/search/summarize, geolocation, translation and other utilities. Each paid call is quoted in a signed 402 challenge and settled on-chain in USDC on Base, with a receipt. The catalog, prices and service discovery work without a wallet; paid calls explain what to configure.
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs metered access to many small AI and data services without signing up for each provider or managing API keys, and when paying per call in USDC on Base is acceptable. It suits crypto and market data lookups, quick LLM or image calls, and web fetch or summarization inside an agent workflow.
- Requirements
- Runs locally over stdio, typically via npx amanchain-mcp, so Node.js is needed. Paid calls require a Base wallet holding USDC and the AMAN_PRIVATE_KEY environment variable; optional variables include AMAN_ORIGIN, AMAN_MAX_USD_PER_CALL, AMAN_MAX_USD_PER_DAY and AMAN_SPEND_LEDGER. Network access to the service endpoint is required. Desktop MCP clients only.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Amanchain Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
AmanChain MCP Gateway
59 pay-per-call AI services as MCP tools — with automatic x402 payment in USDC on Base.
Crypto prices & audits, whale alerts, market reports, LLM chat, image generation, invoices & receipts, web fetch/search/summarize, geolocation, translation, and more — no API keys, no signups, no subscriptions. Your agent pays per call with USDC (gasless — the facilitator covers gas), every settlement lands on-chain with a receipt.
Works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible client.
Quickstart (60 seconds)
- Get a Base wallet with ~$1 of USDC (Coinbase → withdraw USDC → Base network, or bridge.base.org).
- Add the server:
Claude Code
Claude Desktop / Cursor (claude_desktop_config.json / mcp.json)
- Ask your agent: "use amanchain to get the current BTC price" — done.
No wallet yet? Run it without
AMAN_PRIVATE_KEY— the catalog, prices and service discovery all work; paid calls explain exactly what to set up.
What your agent gets
amanchain_catalog first, then one tool per service. Highlights:
Prices are set by the network, quoted live in every 402 response, and published in the live catalog. Every payment produces an on-chain receipt — see the public receipts ledger.
Safety
- Your key never leaves your machine — it only signs EIP-3009 USDC transfers locally.
AMAN_MAX_USD_PER_CALL(default $0.05) — refuses any pricier quote.AMAN_MAX_USD_PER_DAY(default $1.00) — rolling daily cap, persisted in~/.amanchain-mcp-spend.json.- Prices are taken only from the server's signed 402 challenge — never guessed.
All env vars: AMAN_PRIVATE_KEY, AMAN_ORIGIN, AMAN_MAX_USD_PER_CALL, AMAN_MAX_USD_PER_DAY, AMAN_SPEND_LEDGER.
How it works
AmanChain is a quantum-resistant proof-of-work chain whose AI marketplace settles agent payments on-chain — service results and receipts are mined into blocks.
