Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at mcp.apify.com, or a local stdio run via the Apify actors MCP package with Node.js. Needs an Apify account: OAuth login, or an Authorization Bearer token with an Apify API token (APIFY_TOKEN for the local setup). Network access required.
Before you install
Usage is paid per result (roughly $0.0004 to $0.001 per job or company), so set maxItems to cap cost; a free account includes limited monthly credit. The Authorization header carries an Apify token, which should be treated as a secret. Tools return third-party scraped business data, and results are sent to Apify for processing.

Installation

  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Tips for agents

  • Always set maxItems. It caps both cost and response size.
  • To save context tokens, use descriptionFormat: "none" (job tools) or descriptionMaxLength, plus omitEmptyFields: true.
  • Filters run server-side and filtered-out items are never charged. Prefer titleKeywords and postedWithinDays over post-filtering.
  • For recurring checks, set onlyNewOrUpdated: true with a stateKey to get and pay for only new items.
