Hearthstone card search, deck analysis, strategy coaching, and archetype classification
Overview
Local MCP server that gives an assistant a full Hearthstone card database plus deck decoding, archetype analysis and strategy coaching.
- What you can do
- Search and look up cards by name, text, class, cost, type, rarity, set or keyword, and read keyword definitions with related cards
- Decode deck codes into full card lists with mana curves
- Analyze decks for archetype, gameplan, strengths and matchup profile
- Explain archetypes, class identities, matchup dynamics and core game concepts
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to answer Hearthstone card questions, break down a deck code, or give deck-building and gameplay advice without leaving the chat.
- Requirements
- Runs locally via npx (Node.js required) and is configured in the desktop client. Card data is downloaded from HearthstoneJSON on first run and stored in a local folder under the user's home directory. No API key is needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Hearthstone Oracle in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Tools
How It Works
Two-layer architecture:
- Card data layer — Full card database from HearthstoneJSON, stored in a local SQLite database with FTS5 full-text search. Cards are fetched on first run and updated when newer game builds are available.
- Strategy layer — Built-in strategy knowledge covering archetypes, class identities, matchup theory, and core game concepts. Enables the server to provide coaching and analysis, not just raw card data.
Data Source
Card data provided by HearthstoneJSON by HearthSim. Auto-extracted from game files. Unrestricted use.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
