Shared, private memory for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and 20+ AI tools. Plan in one, build in another.
Overview
Relay is a hosted MCP memory server that gives ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and other AI tools one shared, private memory for handing work between them.
- What you can do
- Browse projects and conversations, filtered by project or status
- Search saved conversations by meaning and keywords, and read a handoff brief with its recent updates
- Save new handoff briefs and add progress, review, plan, question or note updates
- Move work between planning, building, review and done, and file conversations under projects
- Recall and store facts about you and your projects so every connected AI sees them
- Delete or forget items only when enabled and after confirmation
- When to use it
- Useful when you plan in one AI assistant and build or review in another and want the context to carry over without copy-paste. It suits multi-tool workflows where projects, decisions and open questions need to stay consistent across assistants.
- Requirements
- Hosted remote endpoint over Streamable HTTP; nothing to install. You need a Relay account, signed in at the web app, and a generated per-AI connection link whose key is part of the URL. No separate authentication header is used.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Relay in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
Relay: one shared memory for all your AIs
Plan in one AI. Build in another. Relay is a hosted MCP memory server that gives ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini and 20+ other AI tools one shared, private memory, so work started in one AI can be picked up in any other without copy-paste.

How it works
- Plan in ChatGPT, then say: "Save this plan to Relay for the project Web store."
- Build in Claude Code: "Pick up my latest plan from Relay and build it."
- Review back in ChatGPT: "Review the latest work in Relay and add your review."
Each saved conversation is a handoff thread: a brief (goal, decisions, open questions, next steps) plus progress, review and plan updates from any AI, with a status (planning, building, review, done) and who it's waiting on.
Connect
Relay is hosted: there's nothing to install or run. Sign in at https://app.relaymemory.app, open Integrations and generate a link for each AI.

Tools
Read-only keys get only the read tools. Relay's tools don't run code, read files or browse the web.
Privacy and safety
- One private memory per account; one key per AI, revocable any time, optionally limited to certain projects.
- Passwords, API keys and tokens are removed before anything is saved.
- Saved text is marked as data, not instructions; text that looks like it's trying to instruct an AI is flagged.
- Every action is in your audit log; deleted items wait 30 days in the Trash; export everything any time.
- No ads, no selling data, no training AI models on your memory. Privacy Policy
