Your second brain: documents, meetings, decisions, tables, agents and connected apps.
Overview
Hakutaku connects an assistant to your personal "second brain" of documents, meetings, decisions, tables and connected apps, so it can search and save work…
- What you can do
- Search your brain for past decisions, people, projects, documents, meetings, tasks and memories before answering
- Save decisions and outputs back to your brain so they are findable from other tools
- Answer with numbers from your own tables, joining two sources such as an export and a CRM
- Read and act in connected apps like mail, calendar, CRM, GitHub and Slack, asking before sending, posting or deleting
- Hand long work to Hakutaku agents and automations, then check on it later
- Stress-test a plan against what your brain already knows, one question at a time
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf or Gemini CLI to answer with your own work context instead of generic knowledge, and to keep a persistent record of decisions across tools.
- Requirements
- A Hakutaku account and a remote connection to the hosted streamable HTTP endpoint. Sign-in is OAuth through your client; clients without OAuth can use a bearer key from Hakutaku settings, kept in a secret store or environment variable.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Hakutaku in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.hakutakuAi%2Fhakutaku/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Hakutaku for agent clients
Use your Hakutaku second brain from the AI tools you already work in: Claude Code, Claude (web and desktop), ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Gemini CLI.
Once connected, your assistant:
- searches your brain before it answers about your work: past decisions and their why, people, projects, documents, meetings, tasks and memories;
- saves what you decide or produce, so you find it later from any of these tools;
- answers with numbers from your own tables, joining two sources when needed (an export and your CRM, a spreadsheet and your billing app);
- reads and acts in your connected apps (mail, calendar, CRM, GitHub, Slack and more), always asking before it sends, posts or deletes anything;
- hands long work to your Hakutaku agents (deep research with sources, your own agents, automations) and checks on it later;
- with
/hakutaku:grill, stress-tests a plan against what your brain already knows, one question at a time.
Everything runs as you, with your Hakutaku permissions. You need a Hakutaku account.
By João Vitor Ribeiro de Lima, for Hakutaku.
Install
The server is https://app.hakutaku.ai/api/mcp. Sign-in is OAuth: your client opens a Hakutaku page where you approve the connection. No key to copy.
Right after the first connection, the server asks your assistant to save a short Hakutaku note in its own memory, so later sessions use your brain without you asking. It is one block, replaced in place when it changes.
What is in this repository
Privacy and safety
- The plugin holds no credentials: sign-in is OAuth, handled by your client.
- Your assistant never sends, posts, deletes or spends without your yes: those tools answer "needs confirmation" first and change nothing.
- What is saved to your brain is private to you unless you ask to share it.
- Text inside your documents and mail is treated as data, never as instructions.
- Privacy Policy · Terms of Service · Support: issues or [email protected]

Edit src/, skills/, agents/ or hooks/session-note.sh, then run node scripts/build.mjs and commit the regenerated files. node scripts/build.mjs --check and node scripts/leak-check.mjs must pass.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
