Podcast knowledge for AI agents: search episodes, pull transcripts and ask questions.
Overview
Remote Podwise MCP server that lets an assistant search podcasts, pull transcripts, summaries and Q&A, and export episode notes.
- What you can do
- Search podcasts and episodes, browse popular episodes and check account details
- Manage a library: followed shows and episodes, podcast episode lists, follow and read state
- Process or import episodes, including audio uploads
- Read episode summaries, transcripts, chapters, highlights and mind maps; ask questions across transcripts and translate episodes
- Create, list, export and send clips, and export episodes as Markdown or SRT
- Enterprise-plan tools for audio processing, translation, export and usage
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to catch up on followed shows, summarize or research topics across podcast episodes, generate weekly recaps, or turn transcripts into notes, clips or language-learning cards.
- Requirements
- A Podwise account and OAuth 2.0 sign-in through the browser; no API key is stored in the repository. Network access to the remote endpoint. Some capabilities require a Podwise Pro or Enterprise plan, and the enterprise tools are for Enterprise-plan API usage. OAuth loopback callbacks may fail when the client runs on a different machine than the browser.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Podwise in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.hardhackerlabs%2Fpodwise/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Podwise Plugin
[Claude Code] [Cursor] [Codex] [License: MIT] [AllMCPs]
Turn podcast episodes into AI-powered insights from inside Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and ChatGPT. This plugin bundles the Podwise Agent Skill with the remote Podwise MCP server (https://mcp.podwise.ai/mcp), so installing the plugin wires everything up.
In short: a podcast MCP server for AI agents. Point any MCP client at https://mcp.podwise.ai/mcp and it can search podcasts and episodes, pull a full transcript, read the AI summary, chapters, highlights, Q&A and mind map, ask questions across transcripts, translate an episode, clip key moments, and export notes as Markdown or SRT. The skill teaches your agent how to combine those tools into repeatable workflows.
What's included
Workflows
The skill routes your intent automatically:
MCP server and tools
Endpoint: https://mcp.podwise.ai/mcp — Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.0. No API key lives in this repository.
Listed on the official MCP Registry as io.github.hardhackerlabs/podwise (see server.json).
38 tools, grouped:
Full parameter reference: skills/podwise/references/mcp.md.
Install
Claude Code
Then authenticate the MCP server when prompted (OAuth runs in your browser via /mcp).
Cursor
Open Customize → Plugins → Add → From GitHub Repository and import this repository as a marketplace (use the full URL):
Then click Add on podwise and authenticate the MCP server when prompted (Customize → Plugins → podwise → Authenticate).
Once Podwise is listed in the Cursor Marketplace, you can also install it from any agent chat:
The MCP server alone is also available as a one-click install from cursor.directory.
Codex / ChatGPT
Then complete the OAuth flow when prompted.
Other agents (skills only)
If your agent reads skills directly but does not install plugins, install the skill and add the MCP server manually:
Then add the server to your MCP configuration. Use the transport name your client expects — http for Claude Code-style clients (as in .mcp.json), streamable-http for Agent Plugins clients (as in mcp.json):
Usage
Once the plugin is installed and authenticated, just ask. For example:
- "Catch me up on this week's podcast episodes"
- "Summarize this podcast episode: "
- "Research what podcasts say about "
- "Write my weekly listening recap"
- "Make language-learning cards from this episode's transcript"
The skill checks the connection with get_me first, then routes the request to the matching workflow.
Requirements
- A Podwise account. The MCP server uses OAuth 2.0; no API key is stored in this repository.
- Network access to
https://mcp.podwise.ai/mcp. - Some capabilities require a Podwise Pro or Enterprise plan; the
enterprise_*tools are for Enterprise-plan API usage. See podwise.ai for plans.
Remote / SSH note: the host's HTTP MCP OAuth uses a loopback callback, which does not work when the host runs on a machine different from your browser. Use a connection method supported by your host, or see the troubleshooting docs at https://docs.podwise.ai. Do not run third-party proxy commands to work around authentication.
Repository layout
The MCP definition is duplicated as mcp.json (portable Agent Plugins, streamable-http) and .mcp.json (referenced by the Claude Code and Codex manifests, http). Keep the transport type matching each platform.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
