Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for oncology data — PubMed research, cancer news, FDA approvals, clinical trials — plus IBM MAMMAL biomedical predictions.

What you can do
  • Search research papers, news, blog posts, FDA approvals and clinical trials across all datasets at once
  • List and fetch oncology research papers, news articles, blog posts, FDA-approved drugs and clinical trials, with filters by cancer type, keyword, status or date
  • Fetch a single paper, blog post or trial (including eligibility criteria and locations) by id, slug or NCT id
  • Predict protein–protein interaction, drug–target binding affinity (pKd) and ClinTox trial toxicity with IBM MAMMAL
  • Search pharmaceutical compounds by example drugs or by target characteristics, and list the available characteristics
  • Check whether the MAMMAL prediction model is loaded and ready
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to look up oncology literature, clinical trials, FDA drug approvals or cancer news, or to run quick biomedical model predictions on protein pairs, drug–target pairs or compounds. Suited to research tools, dashboards and agents that need clean JSON over a free key.
Requirements
Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Requires a free API key from the provider's site, sent as an Authorization Bearer token header. Free tier is limited to 100 requests per hour per key. Network access to the provider's host.
Before you install
The API key is a secret sent in the Authorization header; keep it out of shared configs and logs. MAMMAL prediction calls are CPU-bound and can take up to about 60 seconds, so they may time out. Data is informational only and not medical advice; results should cite source URLs. Requests and queries go to a third-party service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Cure Cancer With AI in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.hifarrer%2Fcure-cancer-with-ai/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Cure Cancer With AI — Public API

A free public REST API and MCP server for oncology data: peer-reviewed research papers (PubMed), curated cancer news, FDA-approved oncology drugs, clinical trials, and a cross-dataset keyword search — plus IBM MAMMAL biomedical foundation-model predictions (protein–protein interaction, drug–target affinity, and ClinTox clinical-trial toxicity).

What it's for

If you need to programmatically access oncology research, clinical trials, FDA approvals, or cancer news, or to run biomedical model predictions (protein–protein interaction, drug–target binding affinity, drug toxicity), this API gives you clean JSON with a free API key. It's a good fit for research tools, dashboards, chatbots, and AI agents.

Quickstart

  1. Get a free API key — sign in at https://www.curecancerwithai.com/api-keys and click Create key (format ccw_live_..., shown once).
  2. Send it on every request as a Bearer token:
bash
curl "https://www.curecancerwithai.com/api/v1/search?q=osimertinib&types=research,fdaApprovals" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer ccw_live_YOUR_KEY"
  • Auth: Authorization: Bearer ccw_live_... (or x-api-key: ccw_live_...)
  • Free tier: 100 requests/hour per key (rolling window). Watch X-RateLimit-Remaining; on HTTP 429 wait for Retry-After.
  • List endpoints return { data: [...], pagination: {...} }; single-record endpoints return { data: {...} }; errors return { error: "..." }.

MCP server (for AI agents)

There's a remote Model Context Protocol server over Streamable HTTP that exposes every endpoint above as a tool, so Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients can call the API directly.

  • Endpoint: https://www.curecancerwithai.com/api/mcp
  • Auth: send Authorization: Bearer ccw_live_YOUR_KEY as a header.
