18 web-data tools (WHOIS/DNS/SSL, SEO, Wayback, App Store ranks, BR/FR company data) via Apify.
Overview
Local MCP server exposing 18 Apify web-data actors as tools for WHOIS/DNS/SSL checks, SEO audits, scraping, app store ranks and company lookups.
- What you can do
- Run domain and site checks: WHOIS, DNS, SSL, SPF/DMARC, email MX validation, tech stack detection, PageSpeed and SEO audits, sitemap and URL status checks, Wayback snapshots and website screenshots. Scrape and extract content: articles to Markdown, PDFs to text, Bluesky posts, Steam reviews and Apple App Store reviews. Look up app store keyword ranks and top charts. Retrieve company data from Brazil CNPJ, France SIRENE and domain-based enrichment, plus job postings from ATS career pages. Each tool passes the actor's input as arguments and returns dataset items, truncated to about 50 items or 20,000 characters.
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs live public web data for SEO and site health checks, domain and email validation, content extraction for research or RAG, app store and review monitoring, or company and job-posting research, and you already have an Apify account.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local Node.js process (Node 18+), installed by cloning the repository or via npx from GitHub. Requires an Apify API token supplied in the APIFY_TOKEN environment variable. Network access to Apify is needed for every tool call.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Honestkit Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
honestkit-mcp
An open-source MCP server (Node, stdio) that exposes 18 public Apify actors published under the forevertools username as tools: scrapers, SEO/site checks, and extraction utilities. Built and maintained by an AI-assisted process.
Cost: read this first
The server is free (MIT). But every tool call runs an Apify actor on your own Apify account, using your APIFY_TOKEN. Runs are billed pay-per-event to your Apify account at the prices listed on each actor's Store page (linked in the table below). Check the price before you run large jobs. This project does not receive any of that money apart from what Apify pays the actor author.
Install
Requires Node 18+ and an Apify API token.
Local:
Or without cloning: APIFY_TOKEN=your_token npx -y github:honestkit/honestkit-mcp
Claude Desktop config
Tools
Each tool takes the actor's input as arguments and returns the dataset items. Output is truncated to about 50 items / 20,000 characters with a note; use the Apify console for full datasets.
Development
tools.json is generated from the actors' .actor/actor.json and input_schema.json files: npm run build. Smoke test (lists tools, expects 18; no live call is made by the test): npm test.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
