Houyidb Mcp

Local MCP server that connects an assistant to a HouyiDB instance for vector search, collection status checks, and optional writes.

What you can do

• Run vector searches against a HouyiDB instance.
• Check collection status and inspect available collections.
• Upsert and delete records when writes are explicitly enabled.
• Limit which collections are reachable through an allowlist.

When to use it

Useful when you already run HouyiDB and want an assistant to query its vector collections, check their status, or make controlled changes to stored records during a session.

Requirements

Runs locally over stdio via npx from the npm package houyidb-mcp, so Node.js is needed. Requires a reachable HouyiDB HTTP base URL in HOUYIDB_URL and network access to it. Optional HOUYI_AUTH_TOKEN is sent as a Bearer token; HOUYIDB_MCP_COLLECTIONS and HOUYIDB_MCP_READ_ONLY tune scope and write access. Desktop only.
