The publisher's own server: Fastio
Overview
A configuration for Apify's hosted MCP server that exposes Fast Data Actors for YouTube transcripts, Google News/Trends, job postings, document conversion and…
- What you can do
- Retrieve transcripts of YouTube videos and channels
- Search Google News articles and check Google Trends interest and related queries
- Search job postings, including listings from company career sites
- Convert PDFs and other documents to Markdown
- Upscale images, remove backgrounds and bulk-download images
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs public web data such as video transcripts, news coverage, trend interest or job-market signals, or quick document and image processing, without building scrapers yourself.
- Requirements
- A remote connection to Apify's hosted MCP server with the Fast Data Actors listed in the tools parameter. An Apify account is required; authenticate via OAuth sign-in or an Apify API token sent in the Authorization header. Usage is billed per result, with a free plan that includes a small monthly credit.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Fast Data Actors (via Apify MCP) in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.ichkifokkus%2Ffast-data/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Fast Data Actors via MCP (Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code)
What this is, honestly: this folder contains no server code. It is a ready-made configuration for
Apify's hosted MCP server (https://mcp.apify.com, run by Apify), restricted to the
public Apify Actors by Fast Data (apify.com/fast_data_asap).
We build and maintain these Actors; Apify runs the MCP server. Your AI client talks to Apify, Apify runs the
Actor in your own Apify account, and you pay Apify's normal pay-per-result price for the results.
Registry name: io.github.ichkifokkus/fast-data (see server.json).
Tools you get
See each Actor page for the exact input fields and prices.
Server URL
Want fewer tools? Delete Actors from the tools= list (comma-separated, owner/actor-name).
Authentication
- OAuth (Claude.ai / Claude Desktop custom connectors, VS Code): just add the URL, then sign in to Apify in the browser window that opens.
- API token: send the header
Authorization: Bearer <APIFY_TOKEN>. Get the token in Apify Console under Settings → API & Integrations. An Apify account is free; the Free plan includes $5 of usage per month.
Setup
Claude.ai / Claude Desktop
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it Fast Data, paste the server URL above, then connect and sign in to Apify.
Claude Code
Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json or .cursor/mcp.json)
VS Code (.vscode/mcp.json, OAuth)
Try it
- "Get the transcript of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=... and summarise it in 5 bullets."
- "What did Google News report about in the last 24 hours?"
- "Is OpenAI hiring more engineers in Europe this month? Use the job search tool."
- "Convert this PDF to Markdown: https://.../report.pdf"
Notes
- Don't put your token into files you commit. Use OAuth or your client's secret storage where possible.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
