NYC rent data and guides; OAuth tools for apartment alerts, saved searches and lottery status.
The publisher's own server: apartment.loans: apartment loan sizing
RentReboot's hosted MCP server for NYC renter guides, neighborhood asking-rent data, and OAuth-scoped apartment alerts and saved searches.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.imiraoui%2Frentreboot/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

}RentReboot connects AI assistants to public NYC renter guides and neighborhood asking-rent data. With the renter's scoped OAuth consent, assistants can also read their apartment alerts, manage their saved search, save or track alerted apartments, and view Housing Lottery application statuses.
Hosted MCP endpoint: https://rentreboot.com/api/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP
Authentication: No account for public tools. OAuth 2.1 with PKCE for personal tools.
This is the public setup and discovery repository for RentReboot's hosted MCP service. It contains installation metadata and documentation, not the production server implementation. Nothing needs to be deployed or installed from this repository.
Add the remote server URL in an MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP:
Clients use different configuration formats; use your client's remote-server setup if it does not accept this JSON. For personal features, choose its OAuth connection flow and sign in on rentreboot.com. New renters can create a free account through the same verified-email flow. Never paste an email code, private account link or token into a chat or configuration example.
Public tools are read-only and do not require an account or API key. Asking-rent percentiles describe aggregate data; they are not individual apartment availability or a guaranteed future rent.
Ask the renter to confirm a change before calling a write tool. Personal tools act only on the connected renter's account. Available tools depend on the client and granted scopes; tools/list is authoritative. Some clients may also expose a scoped checkout-link tool, described in the authentication documentation.
Upcoming matches are historical records useful for planning, not promises of future availability. The service does not contact brokers or submit Housing Connect applications through MCP tools. Account deletion, unsubscribing and paid-plan cancellation remain website workflows. Public MCP tools are available without a paid plan; paid RentReboot alert features follow the account's website plan.
io.github.imiraoui/rentrebootTool descriptions above were checked against the public service on October 21, 2026. The live service and its authentication documentation are authoritative for current availability.
This repository includes a Cursor plugin manifest at .cursor-plugin/plugin.json. It references the hosted RentReboot MCP configuration in .mcp.json; no local server process is started. Public guides and rent data work anonymously. Connect through browser OAuth for account tools, and confirm changes before approving write tools. The public plugin metadata is MIT licensed; the hosted implementation is not included.

Search RentReboot guides
Search RentReboot public NYC renter guides by keyword and return canonical URLs.
limitqueryrequiredList apartments sent in my alerts
List apartments RentReboot already sent to the connected renter, newest first, with saved, hidden, and contacted/toured/applied state. Pass nextCursor to see older alerts (up to the latest 200). Hidden apartments are left out unless includeHidden is true. Links open the listing through RentReboot. Never returns account identifiers or broker contact details.
limitcursorincludeHiddenSave, hide, or track an apartment from my alerts
Change the connected renter's state for one apartment from their alerts: save it, hide it, or mark it contacted, toured, or applied (status "none" clears it). Same as the buttons on the RentReboot dashboard. Use a listingId from list_alerted_listings.
savedhiddenstatuslistingIdrequiredGet my RentReboot account
Show the connected renter's plan (free or paid), whether apartment alerts are on or paused, market, alert frequency, and delivery channel, plus a link to manage the account.
Takes no parameters.
Get my saved apartment search
Show the connected renter's saved alert search: budget, bedrooms, bathrooms, neighborhoods, move-in date, no-fee and rent-stabilized filters, amenities, subway lines, alert frequency, and channel. Read this before changing the search.
Takes no parameters.
Find neighborhoods for my alerts
Look up neighborhood names and ids the connected renter can add to their alert search, in their own market. Returns names only, not listings.
limitqueryChange my apartment search
Change the connected renter's saved alert search. Send only the fields to change; everything else stays. Saves exactly like the RentReboot preferences page, so its rules apply (for example a search always keeps at least one neighborhood). For a new account, set city together with neighborhoods once; after that the market cannot change here. Confirm the change with the renter first. Weekly recap pauses individual alerts.
citychannelmaxRentminRentbedroomsamenitiesbathroomsnoFeeOnlymoveInDatesubwayLinesneighborhoodsalertFrequency+5 morePause or resume my apartment alerts
Pause (enabled=false) or resume (enabled=true) the connected renter's apartment alerts. Their search, plan, billing, and Housing Connect settings stay as they are. Confirm with the renter first.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
