Overview

AI-generated overview

A read-only MCP server that lets an assistant answer questions about researcher Izzet Yildirim's publications, paper text, CV, and availability.

What you can do
Get a profile overview, contact details and links, plus CV sections such as experience, education, service, certifications and skills. Search the publication catalog by topic, system or venue and read a single catalog entry with authors, venue, date, abstract and links. Search the full text of public papers and posters for passages, list a paper's sections, and read one section in parts. Page links returned are relative to the author's site and should be given as full URLs.
When to use it
Useful when someone wants an assistant to look up this researcher's work, summarize a specific paper section, check publication history, or assess fit against a job description, without browsing the site manually.
Requirements
Runs as a hosted remote endpoint or as a local npm package launched with npx that forwards to the hosted endpoint. No sign-in, API key or environment variable is required; the optional IYILDIRIM_MCP_URL variable can point the bridge at another endpoint. Network access to the hosted server is needed.
Before you install
Read-only and needs no credentials. Answers come from public data on the author's site, and the server instructs assistants to answer only from tool results and not to guess about work under review. Requests go to the hosted endpoint, so queries are sent to that third party.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Izzet Yildirim in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.izzet%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

iyildirim

[npm]

An MCP server for Izzet Yildirim. Connect it to your AI agent and ask about his research, papers, CV, and availability.

It is read-only and needs no sign-in. It answers from the public data on iyildirim.com, including the full text of his published papers.

Connect

Claude Code

sh
claude mcp add iyildirim -- npx -y iyildirim

Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf (any client that launches local servers): add to the MCP config.

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "iyildirim": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "iyildirim"] }  }}

No install: most clients can connect straight to the hosted server, which is what this package forwards to.

sh
claude mcp add --transport http iyildirim https://iyildirim.com/api/mcp

Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor also accept https://iyildirim.com/api/mcp as a custom connector URL.

Then ask

What has Izzet published on I/O tracing?

Read the system design section of the AgentStage paper and summarize it.

Is Izzet a fit for this role? (paste a job description)

Tools

ToolWhat it does
get_cv_sectionOne section of his CV: experience, education, service, certifications, or skills
get_paper_sectionThe text of one section of a public paper
get_profileStart here: overview, what he is looking for, contact, links
get_publicationThe catalog entry for one publication (summary, venue, abstract, links)
list_paper_sectionsThe sections of a public paper
search_paper_textSearch the full text of public papers for passages
search_publicationsSearch the publication catalog by topic, system, or venue

How it works

This package is a thin stdio-to-HTTP bridge. It holds no tools or data of its own: each message goes to https://iyildirim.com/api/mcp and the reply comes back unchanged, so the tools are always as current as the site. No dependencies.

Set IYILDIRIM_MCP_URL to point it at another endpoint, for example a preview deployment.

Develop

sh
npm installnpm run validate # format check, types, tests, build

Release

Releases are published to npm, and then listed in the official MCP registry as io.github.izzet/mcp, by publish.yml when a version tag is pushed.

  1. Bump version in package.json and in server.json (both version and packages[0].version) in a pull request and merge it. A test and the workflow check that they match.
  2. On main: git tag v0.1.1 && git push origin v0.1.1 (the tag must match the version).

Publishing needs either a trusted publisher configured for this repo and publish.yml on npmjs.com (no secret), or an NPM_TOKEN repository secret.

MIT licensed.

100% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
