Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server that validates PDF page trees, checking Kids-to-Page links, Contents streams, orphan pages and Count consistency.

What you can do
  • Validate a PDF's page tree structure, checking that Kids entries point to Page objects.
  • Check that page Contents references resolve to streams.
  • Detect orphan pages and mismatches between the declared Count and the actual page tree.
  • Report structural problems found in the document.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to inspect or sanity-check PDF structure, for example after generating or repairing a PDF, or when a document opens incorrectly and you want to know whether its page tree is malformed.
Requirements
Runs as a local stdio process, installed from the npm package @jayjex/pdfcheck-mcp, so Node.js and npm are needed. Desktop client only; no authentication or environment variables are declared.
Before you install
The manifest lists no tools, so the exact operations and whether it only reads or also modifies files are not documented here. Point it only at PDFs you are comfortable having inspected locally.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
