Overview

AI-generated overview

A discontinued verification MCP server whose hosted API shut down; the final release only reports that the service is gone.

What you can do
Report service status: the single remaining tool, service_status, returns the discontinuation notice to the assistant and makes no network calls.
When to use it
Not for new installs. It is only relevant to someone who already has an older pinned version and wants to understand why its tools fail, or who needs confirmation that the service is retired.
Requirements
Runs locally as a Python package over stdio. The optional VIVORY_API_KEY and VIVORY_API_BASE variables are still described, but the upstream API at api.vivory.app was shut down, so no key or endpoint makes the tools work.
Before you install
The package no longer works: every tool in versions up to 0.14.0 fails because the hosted API was shut down. No paid plan is sold and no new keys are issued. The README advises removing it from the MCP client configuration.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Vivory Verification Gateway in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

README

vivory-mcp-verification (discontinued)

This package no longer works. The hosted API it called (api.vivory.app) was shut down on 2026-08-09. Every tool in versions up to 0.14.0 now fails, because that address only redirects to the vivory.app home page.

There is no paid plan. "Tools Pro" is not sold anymore, and no new keys are issued.

What 0.15.0 does

This final release exists so that nobody is left with a server that fails quietly. It starts, prints this notice to stderr, and exposes a single tool, service_status, that returns the same notice to your agent. It makes no network calls.

What you should do

Remove vivory-mcp-verification from your MCP client configuration (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, and so on). Older versions stay on PyPI so that pinned installs do not break, but none of them can reach a server.

The sibling packages vivory-mcp-korea and vivory-mcp-kosis were discontinued earlier.

40% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
