Overview

AI-generated overview

ReelsMeals lets an assistant search free public recipes, and with a paid connected account manage a personal cookbook, meal plans and shopping lists.

What you can do
  • Search and read published recipes, with creator and source citations
  • Look up setup links for connecting a cookbook, importing Instagram saves or creating an account
  • Search, list and read the user's own saved recipes
  • Import a recipe from a URL, replace tags, save notes and mark recipes as cooked
  • Plan a week of dinners, save a weekly plan and build a de-duplicated shopping list
  • Read and update household kitchen preferences, and review recent tool activity for audit
When to use it
Useful when someone wants cooking inspiration or published recipes without an account, or wants an assistant to work with their own saved recipe collection, weekly dinner plans and shopping lists.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at reelsmeals.com; no keys or headers declared. Public recipe search works anonymously. Private cookbook tools require a connected ReelsMeals account, sign-in, user approval and a paid plan.
Before you install
Several tools write to the user's cookbook: importing a URL, replacing tags, saving notes, marking recipes cooked, updating kitchen preferences and saving a weekly plan, which replaces the existing plan for that week. Confirm before saving or replacing. Private tools need a paid plan, so costs may apply. Household preferences and cookbook data are sent to the service.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open ReelsMeals in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.jmqcooper%2Freelsmeals/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

search_public_recipes

Find public recipes

Use this when someone wants a recipe, cooking inspiration or an existing recipe from a creator, without an account. Searches published ReelsMeals recipes. For the user's own saved recipes use search_my_cookbook instead. Never treats public results as the user's cookbook.

Parameterslimitqueryrequired

get_public_recipe

Read a public recipe

Use this after search_public_recipes to read published ingredients and instructions. Cite reelsmealsUrl and the original creator/source. Does not read a private cookbook and does not invent missing steps or quantities.

Parametersslugrequired

Set up ReelsMeals

Use this when the user asks to save or import recipe links, migrate saved Instagram recipes, connect their cookbook, or create a ReelsMeals account. Returns setup links and the agent signup protocol. Public recipe search is free. Private cookbook actions require sign-in, user approval and a paid ReelsMeals plan. Does not create an account or charge anyone by itself.

Takes no parameters.

search_my_cookbook
