IterxAI hardware toolchain for AI agents: parts, check, build, flash, sim, preview

Overview

AI-generated overview

IterxAI CLI exposes a hardware toolchain to AI assistants: parts lookup, checks, builds, flashing, simulation and previews, run locally over stdio.

What you can do
  • Look up hardware parts and check a design or project for problems
  • Build firmware or hardware projects from the assistant
  • Flash built output to connected hardware
  • Run simulations and generate previews of the result
  • All of this is driven through the IterxAI command-line toolchain, which the assistant calls as tools over a local stdio connection.
When to use it
Worth adding when you work on embedded or hardware projects and want an assistant to look up parts, build, simulate, preview or flash firmware as part of the same conversation, on a desktop machine with the hardware attached.
Requirements
Runs as a local process on the user's machine, installed from the npm package @iterx/cli, so Node.js and npm are needed. Desktop only; no web execution. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared.
Before you install
Flashing writes to physical hardware and can overwrite the firmware on a connected device, so confirm the target before letting an assistant flash. Builds and simulations run locally and may take time or touch project files. The manifest declares no credentials, but the toolchain's own configuration is not described here.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open IterxAI CLI in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
