A read-only stock research server that gives an assistant ValuEdge search, fair-value, fundamentals, comparison and screening tools, plus the signed-in user's O

What you can do
Search supported securities and resolve ambiguous company names or tickers before analysis. Retrieve a stock's fair value, current price, margin of safety, valuation method, assumptions and confidence. Pull financial history, profitability, growth and balance-sheet evidence, with optional multi-period history and EPS consensus. Compare two to six confirmed tickers on valuation, growth, quality and coverage, and run bounded screens for research candidates. Review the authenticated user's own portfolio, watchlist and Smart Alerts, including allocation, concentration and fair-value coverage.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to look up ValuEdge valuations and fundamentals, compare a short list of stocks, screen for research candidates, or review your own ValuEdge portfolio and watchlist. It is aimed at research and explanation rather than trading decisions.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at valuedge.app; no local package or runtime. Public research tools need no declared credentials. The private portfolio, watchlist and Smart Alerts tools require signing in and an active Trial or Unlimited subscription.
Before you install
The private tools expose the signed-in user's portfolio, watchlist and alerts, so connect only your own account. The server is read-only and does not change alert state, but its output is research information, not buy, sell or hold advice. Valuations and fundamentals are limited to the ValuEdge-supported security universe and its data coverage.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open ValuEdge Stock Research MCP in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.kkfir13%2Fvaluedge/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Tools

search_securities

Search securities

Use this when the user gives an ambiguous company name or ticker and you need to resolve it before valuation or comparison. Search is limited to the ValuEdge-supported security universe.

Parametersqueryrequired

get_stock_valuation

Get stock valuation

Use this when the user asks for one stock's ValuEdge fair value, current price, margin of safety, valuation method, assumptions, confidence, or valuation risk. Do not use it for a user's private portfolio.

Parameterstickerrequired

get_stock_fundamentals

Get stock fundamentals

Use this when the user asks for a stock's ValuEdge financial history, profitability, growth, balance-sheet evidence, business quality, or data coverage. An optional history_limit requests up to 30 periods of selected metrics, current EPS consensus for at most three future fiscal years where present, quarterly P/E samples from existing monthly observations, and bounded source-native annual income, balance-sheet, and cash-flow statement rows where the existing snapshot contains them. EPS is not normalized and past estimate revisions are unavailable. Selected metric trends remain distinct from the full annual statement JSON. Do not infer a trade instruction.

Parameterstickerrequiredhistory_limit

compare_stocks

Compare stocks

Use this when the user asks to compare two to six confirmed stock tickers on ValuEdge valuation, growth, quality, market metrics, assumptions, or coverage. Do not declare a universal winner or give buy, sell, or hold instructions.

Parameterstickersrequired

screen_stocks

Screen stocks

Use this when the user wants a bounded ValuEdge stock screen for research candidates such as undervalued, quality, dividend, large-cap, or positive-free-cash-flow stocks. Choose a preset or compose supported filters for undervalued growth and other requests. Use the smallest faithful filter set and state chosen growth/valuation thresholds. Percentages are decimal fractions (0.15 = 15%). Presets only become stricter. The custom baseline requires market cap >=300 million in listing currency and valid canonical fair value. Public screening is NYSE/NASDAQ stocks with a 60-candidate window and at most 12 returned rows, not an exhaustive market scan; disclose incomplete results, source dates, missing coverage and negative-equity caveats. Arbitrary database queries and trade instructions are not supported.

Parametersportfolio_name

analyze_my_portfolio

Analyze my portfolio

Use this when the authenticated user asks for their own portfolio concentration, sector or currency allocation, fair-value coverage, or risk context. Explain evidence and limitations without giving buy, sell, or hold instructions.

Parametersportfolio_name

get_my_watchlist

Get my watchlist

Use this when the authenticated user asks to review their own ValuEdge watchlist, including current price, canonical fair value, margin of safety, quality signals, and data freshness. Never accepts a user id.

Parameterswatchlist_id

get_my_smart_alerts

Get my smart alerts

Use this when the authenticated user asks to review their own ValuEdge Smart Alerts and the valuation context behind them. Never exposes another user's alerts or changes alert state.
