Live JSON from sites with no API (Booking, Airbnb, Tripadvisor…), plus agent-built APIs for any site
Overview
Gives an assistant live structured JSON from websites without APIs, such as Booking, Airbnb and Tripadvisor, and can request new APIs for other sites.
- What you can do
- Search the API catalog by site or topic, or list everything in it
- Inspect an API's endpoints, parameters and returned fields
- Call an endpoint and get live JSON results back
- Request a new API for a site from a URL and plain-language description, then follow the build to published or failed
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs structured data from travel, booking, news, dictionary or price sites that have no official API, or when the site you need is missing and you want an API built for it.
- Requirements
- Runs locally over stdio via npx from the npm package @maviapi/mcp, so Node.js is needed. Works without a key using a shared demo key; a personal key is supplied through the MAVIAPI_API_KEY environment variable. Optional MAVIAPI_TOOLS selects typed per-endpoint tools, and MAVIAPI_BASE_URL points at another deployment. Network access to the maviapi service is required.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open maviapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
maviapi MCP server
Give Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client live, structured JSON from websites that have no API: Booking.com, Airbnb, Tripadvisor, Kiwi.com, Trainline, Hepsiburada, Yemeksepeti and more, plus any site you ask for.
Agents are bad at the web. Browsing is slow, burns tokens on raw HTML, and stalls on bot protection; hand-written scrapers break the next time the site changes its layout. maviapi turns a website into a hosted, schema-first JSON API, and monitors and repairs it when the site changes, so the endpoint your agent depends on keeps answering. This server puts those APIs one tool call away.
Works with no setup. Out of the box it uses maviapi's shared demo key: 30 requests a minute and 300 a day per network, plus 3 free API builds per 30 days. Create a free key for more.
Missing a site? Your agent can have it built. create_api hands maviapi's build agent a URL and a description of the data you want; about half an hour later the new API is live and callable from the same session.

Tools
A handful of generic tools keeps the agent's context small however large the catalog grows. If you rely on a few APIs, MAVIAPI_TOOLS also exposes each of their endpoints as its own typed tool, with a full input schema:
What you can ask
- "Cheapest flights from Istanbul to Berlin any day in the first week of December?" (Kiwi.com, FlightList)
- "Train or plane from London to Paris on Friday: which is cheaper?" (Trainline, Kiwi.com)
- "Top-rated restaurants in Istanbul on Tripadvisor, with review counts."
- "Bu hafta sonu İstanbul'da hangi konserler var?" (Bubilet)
- "What are gold and silver trading at right now?" (Selcoin)
- "What does 'serendipity' mean in Turkish? Give me every sense." (Sesli Sözlük)
search_apis with no query lists everything currently in the catalog. And for a site that is not there yet:
- "Build me an API for news.ycombinator.com with the front page stories, points and comment counts, then show me today's top 5."
Configuration
Pricing
Each successful call uses one credit; failed calls are free. Building an API is free on any plan, within the daily build limit (10 a day per account with your own key). New accounts start with a 7-day trial of 5,000 credits, no card required. Plans are on maviapi.com/pricing.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
