Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that reads a single operation from a public OpenAPI, Swagger or simple YAML document and returns its method, path and required fields.

What you can do
  • Look up one API operation from a public OpenAPI/Swagger JSON or simple YAML document by sending the document URL and a short intent, such as create a pet.
  • Get back the best text match with its method, path, operation id, summary, and required parameter and body fields.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to find the right endpoint and required inputs in a public API spec before calling it, without loading the whole document into context.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Requires an API key sent in the X-API-Key header, obtained by signing up on the provider's site. The README states new keys include 20 credits and that further credits are purchased.
Before you install
The API key is a secret sent on every call; keep it out of logs and shared transcripts. Calls consume paid credits (the README lists per-call prices for the provider's other tools and credit packs in EUR), so usage can cost money. The document URL and intent are sent to the provider's servers.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open API operation in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect X-API-Key credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.ladanyin%2Fapi-operation/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Read one API operation

Read one operation from a public OpenAPI or Swagger JSON document, or from a simple YAML document. Returns the method, path, operation id, summary, and required parameter and body fields. Send the document URL and a short intent, for example create a pet. The best text match is returned. A private address, a login wall, or a document with no matching operation is not charged. The first 5 successful reads each UTC day from one network address are free and need no key. After the 5, send X-API-Key. A key call costs 0.04 credit when an operation is returned. Do not send a URL on a private network. Key: https://firm.bestsmartgoods.com/signup
