Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that validates Claude SKILL.md files, scoring them 0–100 and flagging frontmatter, quality and security issues.

What you can do
  • Validate a whole SKILL.md file, returning a score, a pass/review/fail gate and structured errors and warnings
  • Lint only the YAML frontmatter and get parsed fields plus rule violations during iterative authoring
  • Scan a skill for dangerous shell commands, hardcoded secrets and prompt-injection phrases, with excerpts
  • Run a minimal full validation that returns just the score and ship gate for CI/CD pipelines
When to use it
Useful when authoring or reviewing Claude Skills and you want a quick quality and security check before shipping, or when wiring skill validation into a CI/CD pipeline.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at api.lazy-mac.com; no package, environment variables or headers are declared. Network access to that host is required.
Before you install
Skill content submitted for validation is sent to a third-party hosted service; avoid including real secrets or sensitive material in files you validate. No authentication is declared.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Claude Skill Validator in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.lazymac2x%2Fclaude-skill-validator/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
