LetDraw
io.github.letdrawv1.0.1Updated Oct 3, 2026
Create, edit, share and export hand-drawn LetDraw diagrams, from code or a prompt.
Overview
Lets an assistant list, create, edit, share and export hand-drawn LetDraw diagrams, including building diagrams from code or a prompt.
- What it does
- Connects an AI client to a LetDraw account through the hosted MCP server or a local stdio bridge. It can list workspaces, folders, diagrams and icons, create and update diagrams, build diagrams from code such as Compose, Kubernetes, DOT, Terraform or SQL, stamp product icons, export to Mermaid or D2, and create read-only share links. A typed REST SDK and OpenAPI spec are also shipped for scripting.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to author or maintain diagrams in a LetDraw account, turn infrastructure or schema code into diagrams, or export existing diagrams to Mermaid or D2. Also suitable for scripts that need the same REST API.
- Requirements
- A LetDraw account and a personal API token created under Account > Developer, supplied as LETDRAW_TOKEN for the stdio bridge or as an Authorization Bearer header for the hosted endpoint. The stdio bridge runs via npx, so Node.js is needed; the hosted endpoint needs network access. Token scopes control which operations are allowed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open LetDraw in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

LetDraw MCP + REST
Connect AI assistants and your own scripts to LetDraw — read and author diagrams in your account through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or the public REST API.
[License: MIT] [Node 18+] [MCP: stdio + HTTP]
LetDraw is a hand-drawn–style online whiteboard and diagramming app. With this integration an MCP client (desktop AI apps, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, …) or any HTTP client can list workspaces, create and update diagrams, build a diagram from code (compose / Kubernetes / DOT / Terraform / SQL / …), stamp real product icons, export to Mermaid or D2, and share read-only links.
This repository ships the client-side integration: a zero-config MCP bridge, a typed REST SDK, the API spec, and setup docs. The LetDraw app and server are not part of this repo.
What's here
Endpoints
Both authenticate with a personal API token (Authorization: Bearer ld_live_…), not a login session. Create one in the LetDraw app under
Account → Developer. The exact URLs and a ready-to-paste client config are
shown there too.
60-second start (MCP)
The hosted server speaks Streamable-HTTP, so most clients connect directly. For a stdio client, or for the simplest possible setup, use the bridge:

Scopes
Tokens carry scopes; each tool/route requires one:
diagrams:read— list/get workspaces, folders, diagrams, iconsdiagrams:write— create/update/delete/share diagrams, from-codeexport— export to Mermaid / D2ai:generate— generate a diagram from a prompt (uses your own AI key)
