Optical ops MCP for AI DCs — gNMI, ML RUL, Digital Twin, NCCL, SPARQL semantic

The publisher's own server: Fiber AI

Overview

AI-generated overview

Fiber is a local MCP server for optical network operations in AI data centers, giving an assistant read and optional write access to a FIBER deployment's teleop

What you can do
Read operational data from a FIBER deployment: health, cluster overview, alerts and other read tools (24 in total for a viewer role). Inspect optical and network telemetry such as gNMI data, ML-based remaining-useful-life predictions, Digital Twin simulations and NCCL ingest status. Query semantic data through SPARQL. When write tools are enabled, trigger a demo, run NCCL ingest and create an RMA. Scope which tools are exposed with an allowlist.
When to use it
Useful when you operate or monitor optical infrastructure in AI data centers and want an assistant to pull health, alert, telemetry and predictive-maintenance information from a FIBER deployment, or to run limited write actions such as RMA creation.
Requirements
Runs locally as a Python package (fiber-mcp) over stdio on a desktop. Needs a FIBER API key in FIBER_API_KEY, whose role (viewer, operator, admin) determines which tools work. Optionally set FIBER_API_URL for the deployment base URL, FIBER_ENABLE_WRITE=1 to expose write tools, FIBER_HTTP_TIMEOUT, and FIBER_MCP_TOOLS_ALLOWLIST. Network access to the FIBER API is required.
Before you install
Requires a FIBER_API_KEY bearer token; its role controls access, so an admin key exposes all tools. Write tools (demo trigger, NCCL ingest, RMA create) are off by default and only appear with FIBER_ENABLE_WRITE=1; enabling them lets the assistant change state. Use the allowlist to limit an autonomous agent's tool surface.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Fiber in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.

Declare a GitHub repository with a README, or serve resource_documentation in the OAuth protected-resource metadata.

  • License10 pts

Declare a license in the repository or the registry entry.
