Let coding agents browse code across all your local, GitHub and Bitbucket repos, offline
Overview
Local MCP server that indexes your local, GitHub and Bitbucket repositories so a coding agent can search code by meaning, offline.
- What you can do
- Search all indexed repositories at once with natural-language queries, filtered by language, path or result limit.
- Track and index local paths or remote GitHub and Bitbucket repositories, choosing a branch or tag, and re-sync only what changed.
- List tracked projects, inspect a project's index, and stop tracking a project.
- Open a local web UI for search, projects and setup checks, and run diagnostics on the model and storage.
- When to use it
- Useful when a coding agent needs to find relevant files across several repositories, including cases where no file contains the words of the question, and when code must stay on the machine with no cloud service involved.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local stdio process, installed with uvx or the uv tool installer; macOS 14+ on Apple silicon (Linux untested, Windows unsupported). Setup downloads a local embedding model once. Optional credentials for private remote repositories: GITHUB_TOKEN or GH_TOKEN, and BITBUCKET_APP_PASSWORD with BITBUCKET_EMAIL or BITBUCKET_USERNAME. Only setup, add and sync use the network.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Delphi Code in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
Delphi Code
Let your coding agent browse code across all your repositories. Index local projects and GitHub or Bitbucket repositories, then ask "where does the backend handle the refund the web app requests?" and get the right files from every repository at once, even when no file contains those words.
- Private: your code never leaves your machine. Indexing and search run offline with a local model; no account, cloud provider, or background daemon.
- Fast: the MCP server keeps the model loaded, so repeated searches are near-instant. No GPU needed.
- Works with your agents: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode.
Install
The script installs uv if needed, then runs setup, which downloads the embedding model once and connects every agent it finds. Options go after sh -s --: --no-setup, --no-connect, --version VERSION. With uv already installed:
Requires macOS 14+ on Apple silicon (Linux is untested, Windows unsupported). delphi-code doctor checks the installation.
Use
Your agent calls the same search through MCP. After installing a new agent, run delphi-code connect. To connect one by hand:
For agents other than Claude Code and Codex, also copy the skill into the agent's skills folder so it knows when to search by meaning instead of grep.
Commands
-p takes a path or an indexed project's name. index and add skip .gitignored files and accept --ignore, --path, and --language. Every command takes --help, and most take --json for scripts. Only setup, add, and sync use the network.
Settings
Data lives in ~/Library/Application Support/delphi-code on macOS and ~/.local/share/delphi-code on Linux.
Upgrade and uninstall
Your model and indexes are kept. If a command fails with index_incompatible, delete the index directory it names and run sync again. See releases for changes.
If the install script installed uv and you don't need it, uninstall uv and its Python too.

50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
