Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only remote MCP server exposing DeepStack's published analysis of the AI economy: bull and bear cases, dated tests, results and macro figures.

What you can do
  • Search DeepStack's published analysis by topic, company, person or question, with canonical links
  • Read a full story part: the question, both sides, the DeepStack Call and the next dated test
  • Get the bull and bear case for a story, with every voice attributed, dated and linked
  • List upcoming dated tests that will settle each dispute, and past results with verdicts
  • Look up what was argued about a company or person, plus a delayed market snapshot for listed firms
  • Retrieve the macro series the notes are tested against, each with producer and date
When to use it
Useful when a user asks where informed investors disagree about AI capital, wants the strongest counter-argument to a thesis, or wants to know which dated event will settle a claim. It serves published editorial analysis rather than live data or general web search.
Requirements
Nothing to install: a remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at mcp.deepstack.ltd/mcp, added as a custom connector or in the client's MCP config. No authentication, no API key, no OAuth. Network access to the endpoint is required.
Before you install
Content is analysis and opinion, not investment advice, and includes a delayed market snapshot rather than live prices. The questions asked through the tools are stored as text with date, tool, result count and client name, though no address, user agent or cookie is kept. Rate limited to 60 requests per minute per session.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open DeepStack: Independent analysis of the AI economy in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.mcauduro0%2Fdeepstack/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

README

DeepStack MCP server

The Model Context Protocol server behind DeepStack, an independent publication on the money behind AI. For each argument about AI capital (capex, credit, power, chips, the labs), DeepStack publishes the strongest case on each side with dated, sourced claims, takes a side (the DeepStack Call), and writes down the test that will settle it: the event, the date, the rule, and the probability the Call gave "yes" before the date. When the date comes, the result is published, whichever way it went.

This server lets any MCP client read that record.

  • Endpoint: https://mcp.deepstack.ltd/mcp (Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0)
  • Authentication: none. Read-only. Free.
  • Registry: io.github.mcauduro0/deepstack in the official MCP Registry
  • Docs: deepstack.ltd/mcp

Every answer is the published analysis as text, cites the canonical deepstack.ltd URL of each item it names, and ends with "Analysis and opinion, not investment advice." No model runs at request time.

Any client, by hand

Limits and what is kept

  • 60 requests per minute per session (the Mcp-Session-Id that initialize issues), else per address; 30 initialize calls per minute per address.
  • The questions asked through the tools are kept as text, with the date, the tool, the number of results and the name the calling program gives itself, to learn which disputes readers ask about. No address, user agent or cookie is kept. Details: deepstack.ltd/privacy.
  • Terms: deepstack.ltd/terms.

How it works

A Cloudflare Worker in plain JavaScript (ES modules, no bundler, no npm dependencies). It reads DeepStack's public static API at https://deepstack.ltd/api/v1/ with a ten-minute cache and answers from it. The same JSON is open to any program; this server makes it answerable in a conversation.

src/index.js router, CORS, cache, rate limit, the questions storesrc/mcp.js JSON-RPC (initialize, ping, tools/list, tools/call) and the eight toolssrc/lib.js pure helpers: keyword index and ranking, excerpts, formattingsrc/stats.js aggregates for the owner's admin routesrc/events.js per-day counts of the site's named controlsschema.sql the D1 tablesserver.json the MCP Registry manifest

Run the tests with Node 20 or later:

npm test

To run your own copy you need a Cloudflare account: create a D1 database, put its id in wrangler.toml, apply schema.sql, set the ADMIN_TOKEN secret, and npx wrangler deploy. Point API_BASE at any host that serves the same JSON shape.

This repository mirrors the server that runs at mcp.deepstack.ltd. The publication itself, its data pipeline and its editorial process are not part of it.

deepstack_story

A DeepStack story

Use when the user wants one Part of The Buildout read in full, by slug or part number: headline, dek, The DeepStack Call (stance, conviction, three actions, what would change the call, the side it takes and the case against it, the next dated test), key numbers, the full text as plain paragraphs, the dated tests, any result, the companies and people named, and the sources, each with its URL.

Parameterspartslugdetail

deepstack_sides

Who is on each side

Use when the user asks for the bull and bear case, who disagrees with a thesis, the counter-argument, or what would change a side’s mind. Returns, for one story by slug or part number, The DeepStack Call and its side, every attributed, paraphrased voice on each side with its date and source link, the strongest case against each side, where voices cross, and the dated tests that settle it.

Parameterspartslug

deepstack_docket

The Docket

Use when the user asks what will decide a dispute, what to watch, or the next dated test. Returns the dated tests that will settle each story, from today forward: date and precision, status, the event, the resolver (which series, release or earnings print decides it) and the story, each with its URL.

Parameterspartstatuswindow_daysinclude_pastinclude_signal

deepstack_results

Results

Use when the user asks what resolved and how the Call fared. Returns the tests that came in: verdict, what happened with the primary source and the number, what it did to the Call, and the rule that no hit rate is shown until ten results exist.

Takes no parameters.

deepstack_entity

A company or a person

Use when the user asks what the voices argued about a company, or what a person argued, in The Buildout; by slug, ticker or name. Returns where it appears, the figures the stories reported, each argument attributed, dated and linked, and for a listed company the delayed market snapshot with its source. Never a score or a ranking.

Parameterskindnameslugticker

deepstack_tape

The macro tape

Use when the user asks for the macro figures DeepStack tests its notes against, each with its producer and date: Treasury yields, the real yield, the S&P 500, VIX, Brent, US natural gas, copper, the Fed funds target, CPI and payrolls, with the weekly change and the as-of time of each series.

Takes no parameters.

deepstack_counter

The case against a thesis

Use when the user states a thesis or a claim about the AI economy and wants the strongest case against it. Returns the side the claim sits on (or the question, when no side label fits), the strongest case against that side from a voice outside it, dated and linked, more opposing voices, and the dated tests that settle it; below the relevance floor, that DeepStack has no formed side on the claim.
