Overview

AI-generated overview

ElevenLabs MCP server that lets an assistant generate speech, music and sound effects, manage voices, dub and transcribe audio.

What you can do
  • Generate speech from text, with optional timestamps and subtitle files, plus multi-voice dialogue and sound effects
  • Generate music from a prompt or a composition plan
  • Browse, inspect, search, clone, design and delete voices
  • Transcribe audio with speaker diarization and word timestamps, isolate noise, align transcripts, and run dubbing jobs
  • Manage account usage, generation history, and pronunciation dictionaries
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to produce voiceovers, narration, music or sound effects, convert or dub existing audio, or transcribe recordings without leaving the chat host.
Requirements
Runs locally via npx with Node.js 20+ and npm. Requires an ElevenLabs API key supplied as ELEVENLABS_API_KEY. Optional MCP_WORKSPACE_PATH sets the directory for audio file inputs and generated files (defaults to the system temp directory).
Before you install
The API key is a paid-account credential; generation consumes ElevenLabs character credits, so check subscription and usage before bulk jobs. Several tools are marked destructive: cloning, deleting voices, saving design previews, creating or archiving dictionaries, and deleting dubbing jobs. Uploads are restricted to the workspace path, and dubbing can fetch a source URL from ElevenLabs' side.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open ElevenLabs in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Local file paths for upload tools must be inside MCP_WORKSPACE_PATH (or os.tmpdir() when unset). See src/tools/file-input.ts. Generated and downloaded files (speech audio, subtitles, history/dubbing downloads, voice-design previews) are written into the same canonical workspace root with exclusive creation — existing files are never overwritten. See src/tools/path-safety.ts.

40% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
